Ok stay, but some awkwardness
First, let me say the property is nice. The large grassy area out back was nice, but a bit overgrown. The beds were comfortable and plenty of dishes for our stay. Easy access to the road as well.
The property was obviously built to be an office. The kitchen, refrigerator and pantry area are separate. Their is a church in the basement, and it still has an active business profile online. When we arrived there were 2 cars in the lot already and people in the church. I email the owner and asked if there were other people staying. (Mind you we checked in after 5pm). The people left about an hour or so later and then i got a response that it was the owner of the property, there to make sure everything was ok. They hid from me when i went down to check out the church underneath the house and didn't introduce themselves or talk to us at all. Then during our stay they messaged me to let me know that they had scheduled yard maintenance during my stay. They didn't ask if it was ok, just told me and thanked me for my understanding. I assumed that the maintenance might be a third party, but it wasn't. Just the owners who were there over 5 hours. This was uncomfortable for me, as i use VRBO over others as you aren't supposed to have to deal with the owners being there. They allowed me to extend my stat one night, which was nice as i had made a mistake with the reservation.
