This lower ground floor apartment is beautifully appointed and the owners have created a very welcoming space. (There are two steps down from the front door, then level floors.)
The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances, making cooking and eating in easy, and we appreciated having use of the washing machine/dryer in the utility. As it's on the coast road, there are great pubs and cafes within easy, flat walking distance, meaning everyone can enjoy a drink in the Boat House or Old Fort and appreciate the sunset on the way back.
The agency responded quickly to a query we had and kept us updated throughout the booking process. We were very lucky with good weather but staying in was also comfortable with a large TV and wifi included, plenty of seating and soft beds to relax in. Tucked away at the back of the house, we had no problems with noise.
Though not visible from the apartment the beach is just one minute away, offering views of the sea forts and Portsmouth on a clear day. We took a very pleasant walk to Ryde, passing Appley Tower on the way. The Isle of Wight has plenty to offer and The Cove made a great base, whether exploring or staying home.
