This charming victorian town house is situated in the historical coastal town of Whitby. Abigail’s House is a real home from home, the perfect base to unwind in after a day of exploring.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. . Back garden. On road parking. No smoking.. Situated on the west side of Whitby, just a short stroll downhill into the heart of the town with a scenic harbour, a long golden beach as well as the iconic abbey on the cliff top. This seafaring town attracts guests from around the world to take in its scenic views and old-world charm. Stepping inside at the front of the property you have the open plan living and dining areas. This is a cosy and inviting room, complete with a wood-burning stove as well as characterful original features such as the wood panelling around the tall sash window. This is the perfect space to unwind in together in the evening. At the rear of the house is a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs on the first floor, you have a double bedroom as well as the family bathroom with a shower cubicle as well as a bath. On the top floor, you have a twin as well as a double bedroom under a beamed ceiling. This is a great-sized property for families as well as friends.
The cobbled streets of Whitby’s old town are lined with bustling pubs and eateries, as well as many pretty local shops where you can pick up a souvenir or two. Enjoy leisurely strolls along the Whitby seafront and admire the outstanding seascapes. Climb the famous 199 steps up the East Cliff to see the impressive Gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey that inspired Bram Stoker’s 19th-century classic, Dracula. Stop by the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and learn of historical voyages in the area.
Abigail’s House is the perfect choice for guests looking to explore this glorious historical destination as well as the surrounding North York Moors National Park. For dog owners, there is an array of walks to enjoy, with most beaches having dog-friendly sections. Many pubs and cafés are pet friendly, there is even a dog bakery here! At the back of the house, there is a small enclosed yard, where you can let the dogs out to stretch their legs in the morning. This is a great destination all year round, with many annual events such as the Goth weekends, Regatta, Folk Week, and Northern Soul weekend.
