Lovely cool apartment

A lovely, well-equipped (and cool - important as hot outside !) apartment in medieval village amidst magnificent scenery, with a lovely garden with genuinely stunning view. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Steep hill and hairpin bends but good, safe road and no problems parking close by. Lakes Garda and Tenno both beautiful and great for swimming, lovely restaurants. Loads to do for all ages. Perhaps not suitable yet for digital nomads as weak-ish WiFi... but all perfect for us.

Herbsturlaub mit Freunden

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in der sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung im pitoresken Dorfkern von Calvola. Selbst die Kinder waren von der Aussicht aus dem Garten auf den Gardasee beeindruckt und das Dorf war ein prima Ausgangspunkt für kleine Wanderungen. Im Oktober sind die Temperaturen in der Nacht schon mal ordentlich gesunken, aber mit der Heizung wurde es in unserer Höhle schnell kuschelig. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr zuvorkommend und liebenswert, und auch die Nachbarschaft sehr sehr nett.

Souterrain - like flat

First of all I would like to express the positive things: it was very clean, it is tastful furnished, the host is very friendly, the village is very nice, the Tenno lake is great, there is a good restaurant just around the corner. Still in the advert are images of both flats which are offered, mixed up, so I actually got a wrong impression. We got the ground floor flat, so I can only talk about this one. The kitchen has no daylight, the window looks onto a concrete wall and is below ground level. The other two small windows are facing the entrance door of the neighbour, so you look onto their laundry and they could look directly into your bed. It is quite dark in the flat and it smelled like in a cellar - could have to do with not being used during Corona lockdown. When there is a rainy day, like we had, someone could only spend time in the kitchen which has no daylight or in the sleeping rooms. There is no internet provided by the host, and also no signal in the flat which I found very unpractical. My resumee is that I would come back to the village but definetely not stay another time in that flat, which I felt was overprised and not relaxing at all.

the customer was offered an alternative by refunding the money she did not accept. probably did not pay attention to the choice, the photos are real and the descriptions clear, the house is historic and this apartment has such characteristics that other customers appreciate. I don't know what else to say.

Oase abseits des Trubels am Gardasee

Wir haben in der Ferienwohnung im Erdgeschoss – als Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung – Mitte September 2019 mit zwei Kindern einige wunderbare Tage abseits des Trubels am Gardasee verbracht. Die Dörfer von Tenno kleben wie Vogelnester an steilen Wänden, mit engen mittelalterlichen Gassen und ineinander verschachtelten Häuser. Das Haus (mit insgesamt 2 Ferienwohungen sowie der Wohung der Vermieterin) befindet sich im Ortsteil Calvola und ist mit dem Auto in ca. 15 min von Riva aus zu erreichen. Die schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf eine Art Dorfplatz liegt direkt vor der Eingangstür der Wohnung. Ein kleiner Garten mit wunderbarem Blick auf den Gardasee ist ca. 100 m entfernt. Dort kann man bei schönem Wetter sehr schön entspannen und sich von Ausflügen und Wanderungen erholen. Fußläufig sind u.a. der Ort Ville des Monte (5 min), der Tenno See (15 min) sowie einige schöne Aussichtspunkte am Berg erreichbar. Für Radtouren empfiehlt sich wegen der steilen Wege und Straßen unbedingt ein MTB. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr feundlich und unaufgeregt. Sie hat uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben. Gerne kommen wir wieder, dann vielleicht in die andere Wohung im 1. Stock, die insgesant wesentlich heller ist und einen direkten Zugung zum Garten hat.

Nahe am Gardasee, aber abseits des Tourismustrubels

Die Abgeschiedenheit der Wohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der kleine Garten (ist nicht direkt aus der Wohnung erreichbar) mit Blick auf den Gardasee ist traumhaft. Flavia ist sehr liebenswürdig und sehr um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht.

Traumlandschaft hoch über dem Gardasee

Die Lage der Ferienwohnung „Una volta“ ist traumhaft. Calvola ist ein kleines, ursprüngliches Bergdorf an einem Südwesthang oberhalb von Tenno. Der wunderbar klare und erfrischende Tennosee ist von hier zu Fuß in 15-20 Min. erreichbar. Die Wohnung in einem ursprünglichen, historischen Haus hat Halbsoutterainlage, mit ebenerdigem Eingang und einem Freisitz. Sie ist sorgfältig modernisiert, stil- und liebevoll eingerichtet (mit kleinen Abstrichen in der Küchenausstattung). Die Wohnung bietet in zwei Schlafzimmern Platz für 4 erwachsene Personen (plus 1 Kind). Direkt darüber (Hochparterre) liegt eine weitere Ferienwohnung. Die äußerst liebenswürdige ältere Hausbesitzerin wohnt im ersten OG. Um Ferienwohnungen und Gäste kümmert sich professionell und aufmerksam Tochter Flavia, die neben Italienisch fließend Englisch spricht. Bellissimo!

Sehr schöne, liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, außerhalb der touristischen Zentren. Wunderbare Umgebung und sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Gastgeber. Die Lage in dem Bergdorf mit Blick auf den Gardasee und Riva del Garda ist unvergleichlich, insbesondere beim Grillen im Garten.

Tolle Ferienwohnung abseits des Trubels

Sehr nette Vermieterin, die ihren Gästen immer mit guten Ratschlägen zur Umgebung zur Seite steht. Wir nutzten die Ferienwohnung als Ausgangpunkt zum Wandern, Klettern und verbrachten erholsame Stunden am Tenno See (ca. 15 Min. Fußweg). Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist sehr gut, das große Bad mit Dusche ist modern gestaltet. Zudem gibt es ein kleines Bad mit Toilette und Waschbecken (hier ist auch die Waschmaschine untergebracht). Die Schlafzimmer bieten ausreichend Platz für jeweils 2 Personen. Wir empfanden die Zeit dort als sehr erholsam und werden sicherlich wiederkommen. Dank an Flavia!

Ferien von Anfang an ...

wir, 2 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder (12,14,16), haben in der Wohnung im Dörfchen Calvola einen wunderbaren Urlaub gehabt. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit Kreuzgewölben in der Decke und angenehmen Temperaturen auch bei warmem Wetter. Es ist keine Kellerwohnung! Die Wohnung ist gerade renoviert worden, das (Haupt)Bad hat einen Bodenabfluss und eine Regendusche. :-), eine Gästetoilette gibt es ebenfalls. Gegessen haben wir morgens und abends saßen auf einer kleinen Terasse mit Blick in die Berge. Gleich darunter ist eine Art Minidorfplatz, auf dem dann und wann mal jemand vorbeigeht, eher selten und man das Gefühl bekommt, als säße man auf einer Piazza. Autoverkehr ist dort keiner und gesehen wird man dort auch nicht, da die Terasse leicht erhöht liegt. Vom kleinen Garten aus, den man durch einen sehr schönen Hausbogen nach 20m erreicht, kann man direkt hinunter ins Tal auf die Stadt Riva del Garda und den ganzen nördlichen Gardasee blicken. Dort stehen Stühle, ein Tisch und zwei Bänke. Wir haben an manchen Abenden mit der Familie dort Karten gespielt. Durch den Hausbogen gelangt man außerdem zu einem kleinen Restaurant. Von der Restaurantterasse hat man wieder den schönen Blick ins Tal. In direkter Umgebung gibt es den Tennosee, den wir von der Wohnung aus immer zu Fuß erreicht haben. Dort gibt es nicht nur den saubersten Bergsee Italiens, sondern auch Toiletten und einen kleinen Kiosk mit Getränken und einfachen warmen Speisen. Tretboote und Surfbretter mit einem Paddel werden dort ebenfalls ausgeliehen. Lustigerweise durchquert man beim Gang zum Tennosee immer das schönste Dörfchen Italiens "Borgo di Canale", so ganz nebenbei. Von der Wohnung aus kann man auch prima Wanderungen unternehmen, entsprechende Karten liegen in der Wohnung. Radtouren machen auch welche. Zum Einkaufen lasst man das Auto einfach 3 Minuten den Berg hinab rollen und hat dann einen kleinen Supermarkt an der Ecke. Dort gibt es frischen Aufschnitt/ Brötchen, Getränke, ... alles was mach braucht. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, außer einer Spülmaschine, dafür hat man ein großes Abtropfbecken, für uns war das kein Problem. Gerade wurde ein neuer Kühl/-Gefrierschrank eingebaut, da tut sich noch was. Wir können die Wohnung in jedem Fall weiterempfehlen.

Die Wohnungen sind sehr gut ausgestattet, die Vermieter legen grossen Wert auf Sauberkeit. Der Tennosee ist problemlos über Naturstrassen zu Fuss erreichbar. Unsere Kinder konnten mit den Scooters und Laufräder zum See fahren, und dies ohne lästigen Strassenverkehr! Der Gardasee ist mit dem Auto innerhalb einer Viertelstunde erreichbar. Flavia, die Vermieterin, ist sehr hilfsbereit und schätzt den Kontakt zu den Feriengästen. Absolut tolle Ferien! Ferien im Casa Calvola sind auch für Familien sehr empfehlenswert!

OASI di PACE e TRANQUILLITA'

L'alloggio ben curato, accogliente e funzionale ci ha permesso una vacanza di relax in un luogo di grande pace e tranquillità. Il borgo delizioso è a due passi dal lago di Tenno che si raggiunge in pochi minuti attraverso un sentiero non percorso dalle auto attraverso il meraviglioso borgo medioevale di Canale. Il lago pittoresco consente bagni piacevolissimi e la possibilità di un salutare jogging lungo la sua circonferenza. Con modesti spostamenti in auto è possibile visitare luoghi veramente unici come la Cascata del Varone, le Palafitte di Fiavè, la cittadina di Arco con il suo Castello, gli scavi archeologici nel bosco per arrivare poi a Trento, Riva del Garda, il lago d'Idro. Una zona veramente bella ed interessante anche solo da percorrere a piedi. Consiglio vivamente qs. vacanza a famiglie e persone che vogliono ritrovare un pò di pace e tranquillità lontano da auto ed inutili frastuoni.

"What a gorgeous location! This is a spacious, bright and modern apartment in a very old, rustic and charming building in the middle of the mountains. There is a variety of activities to be done in the region, including great challenging hikes right from your door. I highly recommend this place if you want to experience authentic Italy out of the beaten paths."
