The Space:
If you’re looking for a short staycation by the sea, or a longer term business stay, Apartment 1, Loftus is for you.

The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is a large space, filled with a bright feel thanks to the neutral tones and spotlights.

LIVING AREA
The cushioned corner sofa is perfectly positioned to gather around the TV with your fellow guests.

KITCHEN
Continuing to the rear of the space, you will find the kitchen. The modern kitchen features high gloss, grey units and light wooden worktops. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and kettle so you can enjoy your home comforts at Apartment 1. The breakfast bar forms the dining area, creating the perfect space to enjoy a home cooked meal.

BEDROOM
The modern feel continues through the apartment and into the master bedroom which is home to a double bed. This spacious room is complete with a flat screen TV, hanging space and drawers. Finished neutrally with crisp white linen, you’ll be happy to retreat here to unwind.

The second bedroom is a twin bedroom. With small bedside lamps, this room is simple and calm. The perfect place to relax after a day exploring the area or on work duty.

BATHROOM
The bathroom is modern and clean with a bathtub, overhead shower, wash basin and WC.

Apartment 1 is part of a six-apartment complex called Loftus Apartments, sleeping up to 24 guests. If you are looking to book a stay for a large group you can reserve Apartment 1, Apartment 2, Apartment 3, Apartment 4, Apartment 5 and Apartment 6 and enjoy exclusive use of the building. Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Apartment 1 are accessed via a secure key safe.

Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle.

One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay at Apartment 1 per reservation.

The Neighborhood:
Apartment 1 is located in the small, family friendly town of Loftus which has independent shops and amenities including the award winning Willow Cake Shop, Wold Pottery for arts and crafts and a micro gin bar. If you’re looking to get active during your stay, join the infamous 100 mile long Cleveland Way Trail or venture to Staithes along Boulby Cliffs which is the highest cliff on the east coast! Loftus is also an ideal base for cycling as you will find the Tour de Yorkshire and the Klondike pass by at the end of the road. If you want to partake in cycling yourself, there are plenty of uphill climbs to get your heart racing!

The gorgeous seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea is just a short 15 minute drive away. Here you’ll find golden sandy shores and a bustling town centre. You can take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade where you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The beach is overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts, a fish restaurant, arcades and a surf shop making it the ideal spot for a day at the seaside.

Also close to Loftus is the charming fishing village of Staithes. The quaint coastal hamlet was recently named one of Britain’s most beautiful seaside villages. It has high cliffs, winding streets and mismatched cottages bursting with charm. Staithes is a magnet for art and artists alike. Throughout the village you’ll find amazing painted illusions known as the ‘Painted Illusions Trail’ created by the famous artist Paul Czainski. It is also the home to the impressionist art society, known as Staithes Group, and their work can always be seen dotted around. Visit Staithes Gallery and browse the wonderful exhibits inspired by the village.

Getting Around:
Apartment 1 is within walking distance of all that Loftus has to offer. It is within 15 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and Staithes, and 30 minutes’ drive time Whitby so the coast can be easily explored.

The closest train station is located in Saltburn and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

There are a number of bus routes throughout Loftus. Hop on the Arriva North East 5 which travels through to Middlesbrough. If you want to explore the coast, take the X4 route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby.
