I researched heavily before finding a holiday rental on the Amalfi coast, as we were travelling all the way from Australia. Our prerequisites were something with an uninterrupted ocean view- in our minds we weren't as worried about the inside, as we'd be spending all our time at home on the terrace. And that we did. As pictured, this property has a breathtaking view of what quickly came to be our favourite part of the Amalfi coast. We explored the entire region, as we had a car- and found we were happy to return home to Conca Dei Marini after busy days in Amalfi and Positano where we were surrounded by tourists.
The immediately surrounding area has an amazingly quiet, but friendly atmosphere- and there is a restaurant a 5 minute walk from the property with terrace dining called "La Bonta Del Capo" that did the best pizzas we have ever had (for about 5€). We loved this place.
There is a small grocery store nearby. But it is expensive. I would recommend doing a bigger shop for supplies at a major grocery store before arriving to the Amalfi coast, if possible.
There are a number of stairs to get to this property, which you must be prepared for anywhere on Amalfi coast anyway.
We had parking for our hire car, that the friendly host Gio showed us, which we were allowed to use for our stay.
The only small negative point was that there was no iron/ironing board in the property. We did not bring this to the hosts attention, as we worked around it. I'm sure if we did, he would have sorted it out for us.
Also given that this is a coastal holiday destination, it would be good if the house came with beach towels for guest use. This was easily overcome by buying a couple of Turkish towels on the local beach at Conca Dei Marini for 10€ each (make sure you haggle- they sell for 30€ on Capri).
All in all, a great stay and we would love to return at some stage- as we absolutely fell in love with the property, and the area.
The host was fabulously friendly and helpful as well. This holiday was all we hoped it would be.
