The Neighborhood:
Not one, but two, bridges connect Lambeth to its across-the-Thames counterparts. This central London neighbourhood blends high culture and pub culture with ease—Lambeth boasts its own palace to rival Westminster’s, as well as gold-gilded taverns that supply modern libations in old-world watering holes.
Originally an area of marshland, Lambeth now finds itself as one of the best located urbanised centres in South London. Just a mile from Charing Cross, as well as offering many living options, the area is just a stones throw from some of the capitals premier tourist attractions.
Lambeth is very close to the banks of the River Thames and is often considered the number one area to go for a riverside walk. Many of these walks climax at London’s South Bank, a cultural hub with food, music and some great events.
Unpretentious and readily accessible, this brick and stucco neighbourhood puts you in the middle of London without having to bear the crowds.
Getting Around:
As the busiest underground station in London, Waterloo provides valuable links to commuters travelling both in and out of London with National Rail services and access to the Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern and Waterloo & City lines for speedy commutes all over the city.
From the north of the borough all the way down to Clapham Common, multiple stations on the Northern Underground line provides locals and commuters with efficient transport links from the fringe of central London towards the outskirts of the borough. This is supported by Victoria Underground line which crosses at Stockwell and ends at Brixton, the Jubilee line which twists through Waterloo and the Bakerloo line, which has its final stop at Elephant & Castle. National Rail lines and bus services also service the borough well to aid efficient travel throughout the capital and beyond.
Other Things to Note:
We kindly request that you read the house rules prior to booking and respect them during your stay. Parties or events of any kind will not be tolerated. Violation of this rule will result in eviction from the property and charges for any damages or additional cleaning required. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
