A romantic Andalusian cottage with great views!



It could not be more Andalusian. Beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and white/ocher walls emphasize the Southern Spanish roots of this charming and traditional cottage. It is perched on a hill of olive and avocado trees, overlooking the countryside and out to the Mediterranean. Peaceful and lovely, perfect for a relaxing and romantic holiday in the sun!







Location and outside area



The cottage has a very quiet, yet convenient location: 7 minutes by car from Frigiliana and only a 10 to 15-minute drive to Nerja and the beaches of the Costa del Sol. Malaga is less than an hour's drive away, and Granada only 90 minutes. Just as easy to reach are the beautiful and historical cities of Córdoba, Seville and Ronda.



As you can observe on the pictures, the cottage is set amidst an olive grove and accessed by several steps from the parking area below. A splendid veranda with stunning views gives access to the property's living room. Just a few steps through the kitchen, and you are next to the pool, where you will enjoy full privacy. And again, you will find a lovely, traditional ambiance with a terrace of natural stones and terracotta tiles surrounding the private pool (6.6x4.6 m and 1.1 to 1.5 m deep with roman steps at the shallow end). Sun loungers are provided and a barbecue with patio furniture are ready for your alfresco meals. The pool terrace faces southwest down the valley and to the sea, a beautiful place to sit at night and watch a full moon or the stars. Birds are abundant throughout the year, a real joy for the birdwatchers. Wild mountain goats can sometimes be seen on the slopes above.



Parents with small children should note that the steps up to the villa are quite steep.





Inside and lay-out



The cottage combines a peaceful and romantic ambiance with very Andalusian elements, such as beamed ceilings, traditional bricks, hand-made tiles and whitewashed walls. The open-plan living room is all in one space, with the dining corner and kitchen. The living area is equipped with 2 sofas, a wood-burning stove, a radio/cassette/CD player and satellite TV. The fully equipped kitchen has a 4-ring vitro hob, electric oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and a washing machine. The bedrooms consist of 1 double and 1 twin, both with traditional ocher ceilings contrasting the whitewashed walls. The bathroom between the bedrooms is shared, and has a bath with an overhead shower, WC and washbasin.



Both bedrooms have air conditioning (at no additional cost) and there is a fan in the living room.
