About this property

Hydeaway Holiday Home - 3 bed house with parking, sleeps up to 7

We are proud to welcome you to our property, a newly renovated three bedroom house, less than 100 yards away from the vibrant village of Westbourne, home to boutique shops and tasty eateries. In the other direction is the award winning Blue Flag Bournemouth beach with its seven miles of golden sand, only a 20 minute, step free stroll away through the leafy Alum Chine.

If you say with us you will be in a great location with every need and comfort taken care of. Hydeaway only opened for bookings in 2023.

At the bottom of our street (RL Steven Avenue) is Skerryvore, this used to be the location of the house owned by Robert Louis Stevenson. Here he wrote The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and Kidnapped. The inspiration for our name!

The space
Situated over three floors with three double bedrooms which can sleep seven comfortably. A large lounge, a separate dining room, kitchen, downstairs cloakroom, an enclosed garden and off street parking for up to three cars. Completely redecorated throughout with new flooring and furnished to a high standard with a new kitchen, cloakroom and en suite.

Lounge
The spacious lounge is the heart of the home with a 55" Sony 4K smart TV with access to Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+ and Freesat, with all the catch up channels for a wealth of live and on demand content. Relax within the comfy seating, grab a book, or play a board game, whatever takes your fancy.

Dining room
Just off the lounge, the dining room is a comfortable space which opens on to the garden with enough space for seven people. There is even a high chair should you need it. The conservatory has a thermostatically controlled heater/cooler and ceiling fan when needed.

Kitchen
The kitchen is completely new with everything you need to meet your dining and drinking needs. A full sized fridge freezer has ample storage to keep your food and drink cool with plenty of freezer space. There is an electric cooker with grill an induction hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. The full sized sink and slimline dishwasher make any cleaning up effortless. There are plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses including, of course, wine and gin glasses to keep you entertained plus every utensil you are sure to need. Whilst there is no washing machine or tumble dryer there is a laundrette at the top of the street so very convenient should you need to wash whilst you are on holiday - although we hope you take a break from these chores!

Master bedroom
Located on the first floor the master bedroom has a new comfortable king size bed with ample storage which includes a free standing wardrobe and two bed side tables. The en suite is easily accessible with a shower, toilet and sink. Compact but fully functional.

Bedroom 2
Also on the first floor is the second bedroom. The ‘green’ bedroom is designed to accommodate up to three people with a triple bunk bed made up of a full size double bed with a full size single above. Great for children and adults alike. There is a chest of drawers for all your clothes, hanging space on the back of the door, a full size mirror for getting ready and a comfy chair for relaxing.

Bedroom 3
On the second floor is the beautiful and spacious ‘yellow’ bedroom with a full sized double bed. The built in wardrobe has plenty of space for all your clothes and is also home to a large selection of board games and books for your pleasure. Also here is the high chair and travel cot. This room also has a desk with chair, should you need to do any work! The hair dryer is located within a drawer.

The bathrooms
The main bathroom is also on the second floor. It has a bath with over head shower, toilet and large sink. There is an en suite to the master bedroom and a cloakroom off the hall on the ground floor. The main bathroom was completely renovated and refitted in January 2024.

Outside
The enclosed garden has a rattan cube garden set which seats eight and a parasol with night lighting. It is a great place for relaxing. There is parking to the front of the property and a further two off street parking spaces to the rear which can be accessed through the garden.

Great home. Great location. Clean and Comfortable.
Stuart and Sandra were super responsive replying to any inquiry immediately - great hosts. The home is completely remodeled and brand new with everything you need and very comfortable beds. The space is very efficiently designed with every need in mind. The location is two minutes from some great shops, restaurants and bakeries and the beach is a short walk (15-18 minutes). Very clean, relaxing and comfortable space. We would certainly stay here again.

Why they chose this property

It took us over 4 years to find the perfect property. We fixed on area of Westbourne and Alum Chine early as it has a lovely beach, the village is fantastic with lots of great restaurants, takeaways and shops. We wanted a house with enough space inside and out to feel at home. Close to the beach and Westbourne. After this long search we could not be happier.

Whilst the house is less than 30 years old it needed a lot of cosmetic work for it to be of the hight standard we expect for holiday rental property. Within 2 months we replaced the kitchen, en suite and cloakroom, redecorated the house from top to bottom, replaced all the carpets and added LVT flooring throughout the downstairs.

We have added quality furniture and furnishing (most of them from John Lewis) to ensure your stay is very comfortable
