I wouldn’t stay here again.
I have waited several days to review this property to be more objective. This apartment, and perhaps the entire building should not be rented by VRBO. We have stayed near Santo Spirito four times, we understand that the buildings are many centuries old, and you aren’t getting the Hilton.
We do expect basic amenities, items to work properly, and cleanliness. This place didn’t have it.
Floor, walls and windows were dirty. Ceilings and walls were patched but not repainted. The refrigerator was frosted over, meaning it needed refrigerant. No coffee or tea, just a box of salt. There was a new ironing board, but no iron. There were no cleaning supplies except for dish soap, not even a broom. The ceiling to floor shower doors were very difficult to move so we squeezed into the shower, that had the previous renter’s body hair in it.
The kitchen had ample glasses, dishes, etc, but not even an empty bottle to fill with water to place in the barely working refrigerator.
The absolute worst was the heat. Over 80 degrees in the apartment during the day. Four old tower fans did little to cool it off. In the bedroom, with the window open, access was blocked to the bathroom on one side of the bed.
I spoke with another renter that had the same complaints, but had working air conditioning “of sorts.”
