The flat called 'Botticelli 98' is situated in Oltrarno in the area of Santo Spirito near the most famous florentine monuments and museums that can be reached on foot, (a few minutes'walk from Pitti Palace, Ponte vecchio, Boboli Gardens, chiesa del Carmine).The area is within the ancient walls where there are craftmen's shops, typical cafés and restaurants, historical palaces and lovely corners of the ancient city.

Building codes are very different in Italy.

The reception from the owner couldn't have been better - offered to collect me from the station. The building is ancient with extremely worn and narrow stairs. Travel light. The apartment is airy and satisfactorily light. Although, thanks to the aging windows and frames may be chilly in colder weather. 2 air cons help. The kitchen is functional, the bedroom spacious but dark and gloomy. The bathroom works and there's no shortage of hot water. The washing machine washes but doesn't drain. Due to the age of the building, the apartment isn't too bad. It worked for me, a great escape from the madness of the city below. It may be a bit compact for 2 or more people. Thank you, Saverio for a comfy stay.

"This was a very pleasant...

"This was a very pleasant stay the owner and his daughter were there to greet us with good practical advise and recommendations for a pleasant stay in florence the unit is near new with lots of personal touches it has had a recent reno it is well equipped, some traffic noise to the front living area but the bed room was quiet. Would recommend and is close to main attractions."

"Saverio was excellent host.Picked us up at train station.Apartment has everything including washing powder umbrellas even spare tea bags and a lettuce spinner!Close to everthing.we could walk to river,restaurants nearby,weekend market in piazza. apartment was spotless and very well looked after a credit to owner"

Super Location

The location in central Florence was exceptional. The host met us and carried our luggage up the steep stairs, which was very kind. The bedroom is quiet and comfortable, however the front room is on a busy street. The furnishings are quaint and kitchen ware could be updated. Good restaurants and bakery nearby.
