LOCATION
La Cala de Mijas is one of the few remaining traditional seaside towns where visitors will still find a true Andalusian atmosphere. The town has supermarkets, pharmacy, banks, retail shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, and a restored Moorish tower.
Walk on for 2 minutes from the town center and you find yourself right at Playa la Cala. La Cala de Mijas Beach with its 2.000 m of golden sands, paved paseo and chiringuitos is awarded Blue Flag from 2019. The beaches in La Cala de Mijas are amongst the best on the Costa del Sol so there is nothing in the way of enjoying a day with sand between you toes.
For golf enthusiasts the choices are many, and by car you will have plenty of popular golf courses within reach. The Costa del Sol is said to be the best region for golfers in Spain.
