May Cottage is a stunning 18th Century Cottage, situated in the tranquil hamlet of Cleveley, near Soho Farmhouse. It is a few minutes drive from Chipping Norton and close to many of the prettiest Cotswolds villages such as Charlbury, Kingham and Woodstock. It is a short drive to Blenheim Palace and shopping at Bicester Village.
Our Characterful Cottage benefits from a perfect combination of modern comforts, traditional Cotswold Stone features and a touch of vintage charm.
The space
Guests can comfortably park their cars on the driveway which can house up to three cars.
As you enter through the door you find yourself in a small boot room where you can hang coats and leave shoes, before entering the stunning and perfectly equipped open plan kitchen/diner, complete with a Rayburn oven, kitchen island with induction hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. The farmhouse style dining table comfortably accommodates four to six guests.
On the same floor, you will find the cosy Living Room which looks out onto the tranquil garden with a fireplace and wood burning stove (equipped with kindling and logs). Here you can relax yourself in the legendary Cuddlemuffin Loaf sofa and subtle lighting which await you after a day out seeing the sights providing ample, comfy seating for your friends and or family.
There is also a Samsung Frame TV and Playstation 4 for entertainment.
On the first floor will find the Master Bedroom with dual aspect windows overlooking Cleveley and its charming trees and scenery. The master bedroom comes furnished with a stunning Loaf Bed, luxurious White Company bedding, linen and towels, built in wardrobes to store away your clothes. Above the master bedroom, and accessed via stairs in the bedroom itself, is a converted loft room with desk (if working away from home) and cot.
On the same floor you will find the family bathroom containing the other legendary element in the house - the freestanding claw bathtub - perfect for that bubble filled soak after a long Cotswold walk. If you prefer, there is also a recently refurbished shower for guests to use.
Moving up to the second floor, you will find the remaining two double bedrooms each dressed with luxurious 300 thread count bed linen, stunningly cosy duvets, luxurious pillows and soft fluffy towels. Each bedroom has ample storage to put clothes away and store your things.
Guests have full access of the deceivingly ample garden, complete with BBQ, outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining and drinks and water feature.
