Popular for anglers who want sea and ocean fishing, or rod fishing in rivers. The holiday home is located in what used to be a fishing village. View of the fish-rich fjord Kvænangen and mountains Kvænangstindene. The house is large and spacious with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and 4 bedrooms. Double bed in two of the rooms, hence a room with a family bunk. Spacious living room with dining table. Heated with a heat pump and wood stove for coziness. Well-equipped kitchen with furnishings from when the house was built, the late 1970s. The house is beautifully situated in a former fishing village, 200 m from the sea, which today has few permanent residents. In winter there is little light pollution and perfect for experiencing the play of colors of the northern lights in the polar sky. There are two marked trails for hiking in the area, see ut.no. Nice cart road to the scenic Fjordbotn, where there is a gapahuk, campsites, Frisbee court and plenty of opportunities for beachcombing. Fjordbotnelva is a great river for rod fishing. Popular area for summit and glacier trips on skis, but also possible to follow groomed scooter trails on cross-country skis. Arrival by speedboat from Skjervøy or Burfjord 3 times a week. See timetable Line 9 www.fylkestrafikk.no. Grocery store in Burfjord or Skjervøy. Goods can be ordered from Joker Burfjord and sent by speedboat. Good harbor options for those who come with their own boat. Boat for rent moored in a buoy, 600 m from the house: 18-foot boat w 25 hp outboard motor. Lifejackets for 8 people in various sizes. Weekly rent NOK 3,000. Deposit NOK 1,000 (status 2025) Boat is available in the period 1.5-1.10 and must be booked in advance. NB: THIS HOLIDAY PLACE IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT, car to the cabin is not possible (speedboat from Skjervøy/Burfjord) AND ARRIVAL DAY WEEKLY RENTAL SUNDAY due to timetables.
