This idea is what inspired us to build our apartment and provide everyone who stays here with a place to recharge, unwind, and enjoy themselves. SANTO DOMINGO IS PRONE TO POWER AND WATER OUTAGES. Don’t worry! Electricity: The apartment is equipped with an UPS that automatically supplies power in the event of a power outage in the area. This inverter powers lights, fans, outlets, Wi-Fi, and the TV until power is restored. However, during power outages, the air conditioner, microwave, washing machine, and refrigerator are unavailable. Water: Our apartment has an emergency water reserve system via a “tinaco.” It provides a limited amount (1,000 gallons) of water for the most urgent needs. Use it sparingly until the municipal water supply is restored. When water is available from the municipal water system, the “tinaco” will fill automatically.
