Located at around 340 meters in the peaceful climatic health resort of Lonau, this spacious holiday home lies in the heart of the Upper Harz National Park. Ideal for families or groups, it offers plenty of room to relax after a day of hiking or skiing. In the summer, unwind at the barbecue area by the stream; in winter, cozy up by the fireplace after outdoor adventures.

Lonau features a range of activities for all ages, including a mini golf course, a large playground, a capercaillie enclosure, a forest swimming pool, and a water treading pool. The nearby Guelph Castle, perched above the village, is a must-see. Popular excursions include the UNESCO World Heritage City of Goslar and the historic Samsonhütte in Sankt Andreasberg.

In winter, ski slopes are just 15 minutes away by car, and cross-country trails begin right in Lonau. Wir haben diese Unterkunft mit 8 Personen (ursprünglich für 10 gebucht), Kindern und Hund genutzt. Leider müssen wir ehrlich sagen: Wir waren vom Zustand der Wohnung geschockt. Für eine so große Gruppe und den aufgerufenen Preis ist die Unterkunft aktuell absolut nicht vermietbar. Die gravierendsten Mängel im Überblick: Außenbereich (Hund & Kinder): Der Garten liegt nicht direkt am Haus, sondern separat ein ganzes Stück entfernt. Den Hund mal eben kurz in den Garten lassen? Unmöglich. Zudem war das Trampolin nicht bespannt und somit für die Kinder komplett unbrauchbar. Sanitäranlagen (Katastrophal): Das WC im Erdgeschoss lässt sich nicht abschließen. Sämtliche Toilettenspülungen im Haus müssen dringend überholt werden – eine funktionierte so schlecht, dass man sie maximal für das „kleine Geschäft“ nutzen konnte. Die Dusche in der zweiten Etage ist handwerklich so fehlerhaft aufgebaut, dass das Badezimmer durch die Tür komplett unter Wasser gesetzt wird. Renovierungsstau & Verletzungsgefahr: Die Tapeten sind schmutzig, der Putz blättert an mehreren Stellen ab. Im Hauptlaufweg ist ein großes Stück aus einer Fliese herausgebrochen. Der Fußboden in der mittleren Etage schießt jedoch den Vogel ab: Völlig ohne handwerkliches Können verlegt, klaffen mitten im Laufweg über 2 cm breite Spalten (von den Rändern ganz zu schweigen). Zimmeraufteilung: Zwei der Schlafzimmer sind Durchgangszimmer. Das nimmt jeder Gruppe jegliche Privatsphäre und sollte in der Beschreibung zwingend transparent angegeben werden. Keine Empfehlung!

Die Lage ist perfekt für Naturliebhaber, mit einfachem Zugang zu Wanderwegen im Nationalpark Harz, Das Haus selbst war geräumig und gut ausgestattet, ideal für unseren Familienausflug, Wir haben besonders die Abende am Kamin nach einem langen Erkundungstag genossen, Das nahegelegene Schloss Guelph ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, und der Minigolfplatz hielt die Kinder beschäftigt, Die Gastgeber waren sehr einladend und ließen uns wie zu Hause fühlen, Sehr zu empfehlen!
