Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Positives: Quiet area, lovely and friendly neighbours
Negatives: unfortunately, there are many
No instructions in English or any other language about the property and the electrical equipment in it. It is essential because Fatima, the host, speaks Spanish only.
Safety: The large slide windows in the dining area, looking into the gardens, opens fully without anything to stop anyone, especially children, from falling one storey down into the garden. This is a significant issue and, in my opinion, makes the property unsafe.
Aircon: Aircon only in the open-plan sitting room/kitchen. It did not work well when we arrived. Fatima, the host, got someone to service it, but nothing could be done. The engineer said it is too weak and small for the area it is supposed to cover. It should be replaced.
Furniture: In keeping with everything in the property, the furniture was ancient, antique, and cluttered around the living area. A dining chair broke when I sat on it.
Kitchen: The pots were old and lacked lids. Cutlery, plates, etc, are also old.
Outside area: No privacy. We did not have a garden parasol or anything similar to enjoy the outside space. Fatima, the host, installed a new parasol 4 days into our stay. The hedges were overgrown. The old indoor sofa in it should be removed.
No wifi or assistance to get wifi
Master bedroom: The ceiling light in the master bedroom did not work. The bed was uncomfortable and had broken parts.
Not safe for families with children
