Barry & Barry Island is another popular spot to visit just 15 minutes away, great for a family day out or quintessential seaside day out – there’s a funfair, pavilion, and plenty of choice for fish and chips surrounding the popular beach as well as a range of shops, restaurants and bars in the town centre.
The Vale of Glamorgan is also popular for its heritage, with lots of historic sites including castles and ancient churches as well as the heritage coastline. The Glamorgan Heritage Coast is an impressive stretch of the South Wales coastline, with coastal paths to follow, you’ll see rugged cliffs and stony beaches, sand dunes and seaside towns as well as castles, lighthouses and local wildlife!
