About this property
AN EDWARDIAN VILLA IN THE HEART OF THE SMALL MARKET TOWN OF COWBRIDGE
A little holiday gem! 81 Eastgate is a classic Edwardian villa situated in the heart of the small market town of Cowbridge in South Wales and is located on the main and only shopping street with a big choice of restaurants, wine bars, pubs and bistros - many within a hundred yards. The villa is decorated and comfortably furnished in the Art Nouveau style and has a lovely peaceful garden to the rear.
On the ground floor there is a principal front reception room with stunning fireplace, a dining room, a conservatory (garden room) and kitchen and utility room
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and also a single bedroom furnished with bunk beds, plus a principal bathroom with bath and an ensuite bathroom/dressing room with shower
On the 2nd floor there is a play room with pool table
The house is fully equiped to a high standard with wi-fi and television
The double doors from the garden room lead out to the mature and private gardens. Features include flag stoned patio with outside furniture, barbeque, al fresco 'Italianate' dining table with benches, outdoor table tennis and a shaded arbour for quiet relaxation.
There is parking for a car at the rear of the garden
Cowbridge is very conveniently located near the A48 main road, so you're only a quick car journey away from the centre of Cardiff, the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan coast line or well placed to travel further west to visit Swansea or the Gower Peninsular. Our favourite beaches include Southerndown, Ogmore by sea, Merthyr Mawr (with their famous sand dunes) and Porthcawl. There are three golf courses close to Cowbridge
A trip to Duffryn Gardens is a must! - a National Trust House with extensive and very famous formal gardens. Cowbridge physic garden is a delight, just inside the old town walls
The City of Cardiff, being only 20 minutes away, holds innumerable attractions; shopping centres, dozens of restaurants, theatres, cinemas, exhibitions, stadiums, Cardiff Castle, The Millennium Concert and Opera house, Marinas and Cardiff Bay ... the list goes on!
