Helpful information from host, allowing us to arrive early. Beautifully decorated and lovely welcome hamper. Beautiful position in Burford, lovely town. Great to have convenient parking on site.Well equipped house.
We had a lovely time at Ostlers cottage. Steve was amazing in communication and called us to let us know when the property was available to check in to and where would be best to park a second car. Very clean, good showers, warm, and comfortable beds - perfect for us as a place to stay the night before a wedding. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Burford area area
This was a great base for my family while exploring the Cotswolds. Very nicely renovated, well maintained and clean with a dedicated parking spot. Lots of great food nearby. Couldn’t have hoped for better.

Ostlers is beautifully presented with everything needed for personal comfort including a very well equipped kitchen. The garden space and parking is a bonus. Steve was extremely responsive and helpful from the time of booking through to checkout. Highly recommended.
Our host Steve was immensely help from start to finish . Always responding promptly and offering helpful suggestions about the area. The property is beautiful, all 3 double beds very comfortable and has everything you need for a fantastic stay . it’s just minutes from the high streets many shops , galleries and restaurants . Highly recommend !
Brilliant - a beautiful slice of Cotswolds history
I can't say enough about our host Steve and his wonderful property in Burford. This is the quintessential Cotswolds experience for anyone looking for authentic rural England. The property has first class amenities that cater for your every need. Comfort, luxury and practicality combine in a homely way to make Ostlers a place you can call home in Burford. Don't miss this place for your next visit to the Cotswolds.
Wow. This place is like stepping into The Holiday. We booked to stay early January as we had reservations at The Farmers Dog. It was a freezing weekend but Ostlers was warm and cosy. We brought extra logs for the fire. The kitchen had everything and to a high quality. It was so nice to have all the cleaning products you need as well as tea, coffee and condiments. Very very clean. The bedrooms were lovely. Bathrooms perfect. I couldn’t fault a thing. The position was perfect for us. Loads of pubs, cafes, shops on the door step. Our favourite was The Bull’s Head which was a 5 minute walk. The pie was to die for! Farmer’s Dog was an easy 10 Uber and well worth a visit. Thank you Steve and Sue. We didn’t want to leave and hope to return one day.
Superb location Very clean property and super well equipped with kitchen stuff and even multiple fans (we didn’t have to use it)The only downside is that one of the shower didn’t have hot water and it couldn’t be fixed and the host couldn’t offer a compensation. Thankfully Vrbo gave goodwill gesture

Lovely to have you stay with us. Glad I was on point answering your many, many questions. It was regrettable that one of the 2 showers wasn't hot enough for you. I do thank you for bringing this to my attention at 7am on a Sunday morning, that was very helpful.
The heating engineer was able to diagnose the problem quickly - that the shower was at the furthest point in the house and needed more time for the hot water to reach the shower.
Nevertheless I am so pleased that your difficulties in operating a shower didn't spoil your holiday and despite 5 requests for a refund you were extremely happy with the property, as are all our guests.
I so look forward to welcoming you back to Ostlers in the future.
We stayed for a short break and this was our second visit to Burford. The house is beautiful, warm and well equipped and in a great position.
Will definitely book the Ostlers for same time next year

Thank you for your lovely review, the cleaners were so pleased with how you left the place. Thank you so very much. I'm so happy you had a lovely visit. My best wishes.
It was great. Steve's place was the perfect spot to head out each day for an adventure and then being in Burford for the evening, with many choices of restaurants for dinner, worked out terrifically.

Hi Debby, thank you so much for the super review. I'm so pleased you all had a great time. Best wishes.
We had a wonderful stay in Burford at the Ostlers! This property was on the charming main or high street and a short walk to wonderful restaurants and shops. The owner was great to work with and recommended our favorite meal of the trip -- dinner at the Lamb Inn's restaurant. We picked Ostlers because it had parking and 2 full bathrooms. We used the washing maching, drying racks, iron, and ironing board so appreciated the home having those. Our earliest risers used the nespresso machine in the kitchen before we walked to a cafe for breakfast. I can tell that the owner has thoughtfully maintained this beautiful property! We would love to return!
Just returned from a wonderful weekend in Burford. Ostlers perfect place to stay for a relaxing weekend. 3 couples, plenty of space and very well stocked for glasses/crockery. Great beds and showers. Location is perfect to explore Burford. We walked to Jeremy Clarkson pub, The Farmers Dog which was great. Highly recommend booking with Steve and staying at Ostlers.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for staying at Ostlers, guests have stayed here for over 400 years and it's wonderful to hear that people have such a great time. We're making memories...
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely stay at Ostlers. It was delightful to experience the former Coaching Inn as a home, with all the character you would expect but with modern amenities. The location on the main street in was perfect. It was a very short walk to several shops and restaurants. Free, on-site dedicated parking was a real bonus. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We highly recommend it!

Dear Judy, thank you so much for your kind comments. It was a great pleasure to have you both stay with us at Ostlers. Our best wishes Steve and Sue
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Ostlers. Excellent location very close to the centre of Burford. All of the check in admin was very smooth, and had super communication from the host Steve. Some great local recommendations also. The house was spacious yet cosy, and very well appointed with kitchen utensils/ board games etc. Would highly recommend staying, and could have easily stayed longer and explored the local area more. Would definitely come back. Many thanks Steve!!

Thanks so much Paula, it really was my pleasure to have you stay with us. My very best wishes.
This cottage was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers) in the Cotswolds! The location in Burford is perfect for accessing villages and the main roads but the village itself is small and simple. Lots of choices for dining, coffee and adorable shops up and down the main street. This cottage was great for our family as it had 2 full baths and 3 bedrooms. The lounge off the kitchen was cozy and perfect for hanging out. The kitchen table is large and worked great for us and the kitchen is well stocked. There is parking behind the cottage and a small private garden. The literal only downside would be no dryer and the weather was wet so we struggled to get our laundry dry during our 3 night stay. Otherwise the accommodations were fabulous.
Steve couldn’t have been nicer - the perfect host. So responsive and went above and behind to give us recommendations and even ordered a walking trail book I was having trouble finding in the states so that it was waiting for us when we arrived at the cottage!
Go eat at the Angel!
This is a great location and we would certainly stay here again!
There are no words to describe this gorgeous place.
A gorgeous, well-maintained place full of history. The bedrooms were spacious, with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with a full size frig and all the utensils you might need in case if you feel like cooking at home.
The location is incredible – you are right in the center of everything, with a lot of great shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants nearby, so you do not have to drive anywhere. The town itself might get a bit noisy, but it comes with the popularity – there is a reason people love Burford and crowds of them come to visit it daily. (Just bring some earplugs if an early morning traffic noise might be a concern for you. We did not care since we are up early anyway)
The place comes with a designated and secured parking spot; so no need to worry about your car being left outside on the streets. And as additional bonus, you have your own private secluded garden, very peaceful – a great spot for a glass of wine late at night.
But there is even a bigger bonus – the owner of the place. The communication was smooth. The description of the place is so well-detailed that it answers pretty much any question you might have. And when we did contact the owner, any questions asked were answered right away, with a lot of information and in an incredibly friendly way. The accommodation was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to the Cotswolds.
