Good location if taking the La Leona waterfall tour, equipped with kitchen and good rooms, if a little out of the way (but that is to be expected)

Winston and his dad were helpful although dad’s lack of English and our lack of Spanish during check-in left us not knowing exactly how to treat turning on and off the water pump breaker. The bbq is nice but it’s charcoal so get some if you plan to use it. The fridge is bar fridge size so don’t over shop. Walmart is only 15 minutes away anyway. The place is very small but the kitchen is well equipped and the air conditioning in the bedrooms works great. The pool is is quite cool but worked great to cool off after a long day of hiking. The house is in a Tico community so roosters and dogs add to the bird songs. The place is 100% secure with concrete walls, razor wire, and electronic steel gate.

he was a great value and everything was clean and nice. it was a big deal to us but I would probably post that there is no hot water and the front door locked is how we just close the door so I would probably let people know that there is a lockbox there Inc. provided in the code so they can get the extra key. Everything was great though and we appreciate the hospitality.

What a sweet property!

This is the cutest property! Very private and secure. Great outdoor spaces to enjoy. Swimming, hanging out, watching the birds. The villa is very clean and well stocked. Close to Rincón de la Vieja National Park and other sights.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villas Winara. The place was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Everything in the apartment seemed like it had hardly been used. Ample hot water in the shower. Although the outside of the complex and the nearby homes are not very impressive, the secure complex is very safe, private and comfortable. The second apartment inside the complex does not look like its been used for awhile, so the whole enclosed compound is yours to enjoy. This apartment is in a rural area, with noise from dogs and loud music sometimes. The washing machine worked but is a very old type of equipment. In the 6 nights we stayed there, the wifi that was supposed to be provided was out of order. The owner was most apologetic, advising that high winds in the mountains had damaged transmission towers and there was no estimate from the secondary provider as to when these towers would be back in service. Most days, we were unable to receive internet service inside the apartment and had to connect to the internet outside the building. It was fine for our needs, but this accommodation may not be ideal for those requiring wifi service or television.

Safe and comfortable

We wish we were traveling with our kids with us, they would have loved the pool! But the house was comfortable and clean. Bed comfort was decent. Caring host. They put a lot of thought into all the details, stocked kitchen, games and books. Thank you Winston!
