About this property

Charming Log Cabin Overlooking Lake George

Charming, expanded log cabin overlooking Lake George. Perched on hill 100' from beach with lake-view, this renovated cabin is in a wooded, 70 acre private homeowners association. Our private steps lead down to common lawn area with wooden swing-set/play gym, volleyball net and ping-pong table. The fire-pit at the beach is great for cranking up fires on summer evenings under the stars. The private sandy beach has chairs and chaise lounges available for your use; the sandy-bottom swimming area is roped-off, with a gently graduated depth to a floating swim raft.

Cabin's Main Level features: pine floors & knotty pine walls; 2 prvt bedrooms; kitchen; full bath; living room with solar powered, remote-controlled skylight; dining room with sliding glass door to deck with lake view, Weber propane grill & picnic table that seats 8.

Cabin's Lower Level features: tile & wood floors; knotty pine walls & ceilings; 2 bedrooms (1 prvt MBR; 2 open BR's off main room); full bath; entertainment area with rattan couch and chairs, Smart TV and Wireless internet service (WiFi), DVD/VCR, and lake view through sliding glass door to patio.

**NOTE: Main and Lower Levels each have their own separate entrances, and are not connected internally.

Located in a quiet, wooded enclave merely one mile north of Bolton Landing's shops, restaurants and the famous Sagamore Hotel and Golf Course.

Lake George Village and its shops, amusement parks and arcades are only 15 minutes away and the new Adirondack Eco-Adventure Park is a 5-minute drive.

Perfectly Suited for Family Time
The two-level accommodations suited our family situation perfectly, with some family members enjoying the private space on the lower level while other family members gathered on the upper level. The large deck with grill was great for getting together and enjoying the outdoor space with food and drink. The beach is just a short walk down the hill from the cabin, with plenty of beach chairs and activities, like ping pong and badminton for all to enjoy. Our grandchildren enjoyed the play area with swings, slide and clubhouse. While we were there we shared the sandy beach with a few other families now and then but there was plenty of beach space to have your own private space. Before arrival, during our stay, and after our departure, communicating with host Andy, was excellent. He provided a detailed arrival package upon check-in, which included dining recommendations, local places of interest and activities. He answered all our questions quickly and timely. The Lake George/Bolton Landing Region is a special place and we hope to return again next summer.

Perfect summer vacation in a cabin on a beautiful lake
Our second summer vacation at the Shiffer's charming cabin. It's location in a community of log cabins, with a view of the lake and a few short steps access to the community beach and play area. Perfect for a family of all ages. We'll definitely be back

Amazing Lake George access
Every year, for 20 years, our friends have come together to celebrate the summer in Lake George. This year we decided to split a house amongst our three families and this property perfectly matched our search criteria. We were three families, comprising two couples and another couple with a 10 YO child. For our unique combo of families, this property was perfect in many ways but also had some things we would have loved to have better understood up front. Here is what you need to know if you want to rent this wonderful property: 1) The hosts are amazing. ‘Nuff said. Great people, wonderful communication… it doesn’t get better than this; 2) The location is perfect. Right in Bolton’s Landing, it is close enough to everything. Also, the house is *right on the lake!*! Let me say that again… it’s right on the lake! There was a private walkway down to the shared lakefront area for the HOA and we were mere steps from beach and lake access. Amazing! 3) There is no air conditioning. Normally that wouldn’t matter because it’s upstate New York. But because of climate change we had four straight days of 95+ degree weather. We had read reviews that warned us about the lack of A.C so we had brought 1-2 fans. But with the horrible, humid heat it wasn’t enough. It’s more of a FYI because apparently no one has A.C. around there; 4) Overall the house was amazing in terms of its location, the included amenities and everything. But the layout is a little odd if you have more than one family. There are two bedrooms, one bath, and a full kitchen upstairs. Downstairs there was one bedroom, a bunk bed in a hallway (an “open” bedroom), and another “open” bedroom behind curtains and a kitchen. But just note that the bunk beds and one of the bedrooms don’t have a door. It wasn’t a huge deal, but if you are expecting privacy in the downstairs bunk-bed room or 2nd bedroom downstairs, you will be disappointed LOL. Also, the downstairs kitchen didn’t have any cooking elements. So if we wanted to use the toaster, the oven, the stovetop, or the microwave, we had to go outside then upstairs to use the kitchen on the main floor. The downstairs kitchen only had a fridge (full size), sink, and coffee maker. 5) The common beach area was outstanding! 10/10! 6) Again - great house, sparkling clean, amazing hosts, fabulous location, proximity to lake. You’ll be happy if you rent here so long as you know the quirks I mentioned above. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful Stay!
Excellent property with direct private access to the beach. The upper deck has a great view of the lake with a nice grill available to use. Great location with only a short drive to the Bolton Landing downtown and the Sagamore. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back!

Great house!
We had a fabulous time here and enjoyed the location very much. The houses are fairly close together but the neighborhood is very friendly and quiet. The location to Bolton was perfect and Andrew was incredibly nice, responsive and full of great tips to help us really enjoy our time there!
