Single-family home located 10 metres from Avenida Marítima, the harbour, and restaurants and entertainment venues. It was once a fisherman’s home, where the tide used to reach the front door. It consists of three floors. It has four bedrooms, though one of them serves as a walk-in closet for the first-floor bedroom. Our priority is to give it that “homely” charm so that guests can enjoy their stay as comfortably as possible. Crossing the road and finding yourself at La Concha Beach is a real treat. The arrival and auction of the fishing boats, along with many other unique features, make the home’s location the best choice for enjoying a few days of relaxation.
Cariño is a small, natural fishing port sheltered by the estuary. Three kilometres north of the town lies Cape Ortegal, an indescribable spot—a magical place and a landmark for all the locals. The expansive La Concha Beach, with its extraordinarily beautiful dunes and its fishing and timber port—among other features—forms the town’s waterfront. The most significant socioeconomic development was the arrival in the town, in the late 18th century, of Catalan industrialists involved in the canning industry. This event marked the beginning of the canning industry’s industrialisation, which would reach its peak in the 19th and 20th centuries. Also in the 18th century, in response to pirate raids, watchtowers were built, such as those located in Limo and Herbeira, on the current border between the municipalities of Cariño and Cedeira.
