Peeling walls, filthy.
Difficult to know where to start. The host did not provide property address or lock box number for keys, we had to chase the host for these. The flat was only superficially cleaned. Stains in the kitchen, hairs in the beds. One of the bedrooms had completely insufficient curtains that covered less than 50% of the window and were falling off. Someone had tried to safety-pin a cushion cover the massive gap to give some privacy from neighboring houses that look into the windows. One bedroom had a mirror leaning against the wall, which was covering a huge damp patch and peeling plaster. It had obviously been there for a good while as the plaster had been accumulating behind the dresser which was covered in mold. We raised this as a serious safety issue with the host - the property is old housing stock and could have asbestos, and unless they could provide us with evidence it was asbestos free then it would be negligent to let our three young children stay there in possibly risk. The host was aggressive, belligerent and swore at me when these issues were raised. Save your money and health and go stay somewhere safe.
