Get out of the expensive hotel rut. Unwind and decompress. Secure, safe and light-filled 2 bedroom/1 bath upper level private & self-contained guesthouse w/beautiful views, located 1/2 mile from entrance to Chugach State Park & Prospect Heights Trailhead, just 5 minutes away from Hilltop Ski and Recreation area. A home away from home featuring a gas fireplace, private deck, garage, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and laundry. Upper private deck with George Foreman grill, table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the view and lounging after a day of hiking, cross country skiing, or sightseeing.
Surrounded by trees and wildlife , yet only 15 minutes to downtown or 15 minutes to airport. Large flat screen smart TV. Just bring your log in info to access all premium channels including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more. High speed internet WI-FI included. Completely private and quiet - no traffic noise. Just the sound of wind in the trees and local fauna to keep you company. The best of traditional Alaska and the amenities of contemporary Anchorage. Owners are next door and available if you need assistance to make your Anchorage visit more memorable or convenient. Will comfortably sleep six with two bedrooms furnished with queen bed & full sized bed and a hide-a-bed sofa in the living room. Lots of storage/closet space, too. Families are welcome. We also enjoy having business guests. We have a playpen & high chair if you need them. Warm & secure parking in garage available if requested for winter visitors. Everyone loves Alaska in the summer, but the fall and winter offer many charms, including reasonable airfare, fewer crowds, Fur Rendezvous festival, the Iditarod, the Iron Dog Classic and the aurora! This is a beautiful property, thoughtfully decorated. It is close to downtown and to the Chugach State Park hiking trails, which are some of the most beautiful trails we have ever hiked. The owner was kind, and answered our questions quickly. I highly recommend the property.

This property is amazing! I have never stayed at a VRBO that was so well appointed, spotless, exactly as shown on the VRBO sight. The beds were very comfortable and having the laundry was a bonus! The kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. It is a short 15 minute drive from the airport in a great neighborhood and made a wonderful home base for our stay. I would highly recommend this property!

What an amazing place. The view was breathtaking. The instructions on checking in very clear. The place is clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Also very well stocked. Plenty of towels, bedding, and especially kitchen supplies. I know this part sounds funny... but also nice toilet paper & kleenex.It's nice not to get stuck with one-ply. Attention to detail is like no other. Highly recommend.

A Great Place to stay.

The guest house was comfortable and located near our family. We enjoyed watching the chickadees feast out the window and had two lengthy visits of moose in the drive. Donna was helpful with answers for questions and additional supplies. An unexpected perk was the driveway. With the new snow it made the perfect sled run for our 2 year old granddaughter. We look forward to coming back next year.

A true gem!

This apartment, which feels more like a cabin, is absolutely wonderful. If it is available, stop looking and book it! Located just outside of Anchorage in the hills, it has everything you need. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped. There are even a few furry and feathered friends (outside) to provide entertainment if you grow weary of trying to spot a moose. A nature trail is just around the corner, but weather prevented us from exploring it. Loved our stay here!

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It was well appointed and comfortable, and it was very reasonably priced, especially considering how expensive hotels are in Anchorage in summer. We appreciated having additional fans in the bedroom for white noise at night, and the bed was comfortable. We also loved the gas fireplace and kitchen. We arrived late at night and were a bit confused about where the apartment was located because there are multiple buildings at the property and the listing said street number XXXXX, but the apartment is over the garage which is actually XXXX. We found it quickly enough though, and hopefully we didn't wake anyone up walking around the property!
