Check in was complicated, so ask questions. They are quick with responses.Shower accommodations are very slippery and dangerous so be careful. Only one key , so don’t loose it. If you can’t get the clothes washer to work, reboot it by unplugging it and re plugging. It is a beautiful, spacious apartment at the center of town and main plaza.

The property was hard to find. A jeweler next door helped us look his property kept coming up as the place. Floors were dusty and property manager was rude. But the location was beautiful. Right in the middle of town an easy walk to everything

Great Location

This is a very nice apartment in the center of Assis, which makes access to all the churches and restaurants very accessible. The house itself is spacious and clean. The only negative are the beds, which are uncomfortable.

Huge 2 floor appartment in Assisi. Perfect for our family of 5. Really appreciate the host leaving info about the property in the appartment. Got good instructions on where to park and how to check in. Steps away from some of the main sites like Chiesa di Santa Maria sopra Minerva and the Roman Forum. Also close to Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore / Santuario della Spogliazione where you can visit the shrine of the blessed, soon to be Saint Carlos. The Papal Basillica of St Francis is on the other end of town but still a fairly easy walk across the historic city. Same goes for the Rocca Maggiore but that one is a more hilly climb. We ended up eating out during our stay, but appartment had a full kitchen and dining areas. Over all very happy with our stay at Le Finestre Sul Corso

In all fairness, red flags should be raised about this property. First, while it is on VRBO, it is managed by Cleanbnb who does not have the service standards of VRBO. For example, in this apartment, where there is no AC and you cannot sleep with the windows open because of the noise, the (somewhat) mitigating measure is fans in each room. One of the fans was broken making the room unbearably hot. When we reached out to ask for a replacement, we were told it was “not indispensable”! Yes, it is - that’s why the fans are there. Shouldn’t the provided equipment work? The second red flag is the state of neglect of this property: on the terrace, which has nothing to shade from the sun and is therefore unusable all day, one of the chairs is broken and therefore unusable. We relied on the bench you see on the photo but it is so old and scorched by the sun that it leaves white dust all over you when you sit on it! Forget about the lovely picture with the flower pot on the table…Another red flag is how poorly furbished it is: the cork screw is broken (really? No one noticed that before we arrived to make sure it was replaced? ), there are no coffee spoons, no serving bowls for pasta or salad, no drying towel, the Napoletana stove top coffee maker is for one person only (it’s a three bedroom flat!) and the bedding is awful. Finally, it should be indicated how noisy it is because it is on the Corso. Sadly, we were relieved to leave and I feel badly that I brought my family there.

We didn’t park we took a taxi from the train station. The place was quirky and IDEALLY located. We had perfect weather so I have no idea about heat or ac.
