Special place!

We stayed here for 3 nights and the place has all the necessities if yet a bit old. Location is great and the village is very peaceful and close to the natural park. We suggest you rent e-bikes the experience is fantastic! Great local restaurants as well. We recommend!

Admirable and clean accommodation!

The apartment is as you see on the photos. Slavica was great responding to messages but we mostly dealt with Srečko who runs the restaurant downstairs and was fantastic, very helpful and accommodating. Great location for the national park (25mins on foot to the lakes, we hired bikes there and cycled and walked; if you are staying in Polače your park entry ticket is valid for the whole of your stay). Thank you to all our hosts, we had a great time on Mljet!

High-end vacation!

Great location, stunning view from balcony overlooking the bay, ideally located for cycling or walking to the beautiful Mljet National Park and Pomena via the park. Jolena and staff at the apartment sorted any problems out quickly and without fuss. Bike hire in the village was really cheap but restaurants were expensive due to the yachting fraternity that seem to have elevated the prices but that is not the fault of the apartment owners. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Nice, laid back place in a great location

This is a great little off the beaten track place. If you want a luxury hotel, this is not the place for you. If you want a place that’s low key, has a wonderful view of the water, is situated in a little town, and is convenient for exploring the park then stay at apartment Sponga. We were ready to kick back and relax, and this was perfect for us. We went swimming, hiking, and kayaking. There’s lots of biking which we didn’t do because we’d just finished a bike trip. And the food at the restaurant was excellent

Unwelcoming owner.

Nothing really. The only nice this was seeing every day couple of property owner’s employees who were nice and polite to the quests.

Lovely and comfortable place for stay!

This is a very spacious apartment with a fabulous view in a very beautiful area of Croatia. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The bathroom is also spacious. The balcony is narrow so space here is tight, however the view is exceptional and despite being right in the harbour also still very quiet. The host was very pleasant and responsive. Polace is a small town with lots of guests visiting by boat. The average cost for a basic meal for two with wine is upwards of €100. We had a fabulous time exploring on bikes and on foot. The National Park is a paradise. It’s useful to know that as a residential guest on the island you can get a 7 day pass to the NP for the price of a day pass which makes it excellent value!

Extraordinary journey!
