The Byre is a beautiful, luxurious and contemporary, 1-bed barn conversion and the perfect base to explore the Northeast. Only 3 miles from the village of Lanchester, 10 miles from historical Durham City and 15 miles from Newcastle, The Byre is ideally placed to enjoy everything this wonderful area has to offer, from cities and the coast to local attractions such as Beamish and Hadrian's Wall to lovely local scenic walks on the Lanchester Valley Walk and farm shops.

The space
The Byre is perfect for couples or a small family looking for a luxury break in County Durham. The property is surrounded by fields with sheep and horses. The Byre is finished to a very high standard, with floor to ceiling arched windows and exposed stonework and beams. Accommodation is all on one level so suitable for elderly and disabled guests. There is a small patio area to enjoy eating al fresco and ample parking.

For cyclists we are able to offer a garage for secure storage of bicycles.

We offer self-check-in to allow guests to arrive at their own convenience.
