Great apartment and location, terrible communication and filthy conditions
Location and apartment were 5 star. Management company was extremely poor in communication: I asked months in advance for a slightly earlier check in time, no response; then I asked if I should book the night before to ensure earlier check in time, no response. When I finally decided to book the night before to check in approx. 3 hours before regular check in (after 24 hours int'l travel), the dates had already been taken. I finally received a brief response a few days before check in: $25 for priority cleaning to maybe check in early. I stated: yes, please. No further contact. We arrived in Brisbane and reached out for check in time; again, very slow response until several hours later (still before regular check in time): the apartment was ready. Two key fobs were to be provided but only one was available. We requested the second key fob; no reply until after we checked out: "email issues." The sheets and towels were clean but the kitchen was FILTHY - both accumulated crud, and recent dirt (crumbs on toaster, fresh grease on stove in addition to very nasty dark accumulated grease everywhere). I spent 1 hour cleaning the kitchen, it was disgusting. Thick dust on plants and left over snack wrappers between sofa cushions, hair on bathroom floor. The next guests should pay me the cleaning fee. This apt and location deserve a better management and cleaning service. "Cleaning service" arrived a half hour before our check out time! The irony.
