Welcome to Swift Cottage, a charming four-bedroom holiday home, with welcome pack and all linen provided. Located in the picturesque village of Chilton Polden, Somerset. This delightful property is perfect for families or friends seeking a relaxing getaway or ideal for cyclists in the heart of the English countryside. Find a local pub, shop, cafe, gym and more, with playing fields and park all within walking distance. Also play table tennis and use our exercise bike undercover on the Swift cottage premises. Step straight outside onto the moors which are perfect for bird watchers, and wildlife enthusiasts, fishing in the near by river and dog walking. Visit the local RSPB site Ham Wall , Catcott nature reserve, Somerset Levels wicker basket shop which are all a short drive away.
You will find breeding Bittern, listen to their booming call from the Swift Cottage garden and see Marsh Harriers, Buzzards, Storks, Herons, Egrets small and large, Lapwings ,Redwings, the list is endless. Also see deer, fox, hares, badgers etc. Something for everyone!
As you step inside Swift Cottage you’ll find Wifi, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area with eletric cooker / gas hob, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster and a utility room with a freezer and washing machine on the ground floor. Also a downstairs toilet and small office. Relax in our spacious living room with a large smart T.V , an open fire, sofas, reading books and board games for all ages and toys. The French doors from the lounge lead out to the fully enclosed south facing grassed garden, to bask in the sun and relax.The patio area has seating and a undercover BBQ area. Upstairs, you’ll discover a double bedroom and three single bedrooms. Additionally, there is a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower cubicle, ensuring comfort for everyone.
Perhaps enjoy a pint of local cider at the local farm, a short drive away. If you wish to venture further afield, Somerset is a county brimming with exciting opportunities. From exploring historic sites to embracing the great outdoors; there’s something for everyone.

Lovely house in a perfect location, very quiet area yet only a couple of miles from the A39. Kitchen was well equipped with all utensils needed to cook a meal
