Old courtyard house in the village

This historic home, carefully renovated, is located in the town’s historic centre. It is accessed through a beautiful courtyard with exposed vaulted ceilings. The living area consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. There are 5 double bedrooms, a second living room equipped with a sofa that converts into 2 beds, and a total of 4 bathrooms (3 with showers). Another courtyard features the swimming pool (open during the summer) with outdoor showers, a conversation area, and a dining area with an electric grill.
We fell in love with this large, historic home and renovated it without altering its history, preserving its old-world charm. Some of the bedrooms overlook a courtyard furnished with sofas where guests can relax while enjoying the beauty of the stone structure and the cool evening air. The living area—comprising the living room, kitchen, and dining room—overlooks the backyard, where a pleasant 6x3-metre pool lets you cool off on hot summer days, and built-in sofas invite you to relax with friends. In the garden, in addition to two hot-water showers, there is a cooking area equipped with an electric hotplate and a dining table. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Some bedrooms have a walk-in closet, while others have a built-in wardrobe for storing clothes. The surroundings are quiet, and even the two bedrooms facing the street are not noisy, as it is a quiet residential street and the windows are new and double-glazed.
We love our home and have renovated it with care; the town of Vernole is rich in history and strategically located for visiting the most beautiful spots in Salento. You’ll find some of our personal belongings in the house, as we love to spend part of our holidays in Vernole.
Guest Access
The entire house is available to guests, except for the terrace, which is currently not accessible but will be as soon as possible.
Other Things to Keep in Mind
We’ve converted part of the house into a second open kitchen, so that we can, if necessary, make that section of the house independent and accommodate 4 people on their own.
There are 5 double bedrooms, one of which has an additional sofa bed. Two additional beds can be made using the sofa bed in the small living room with an open kitchen, for a total of 13 sleeping spots, although the ideal number of guests for comfortable living in the house is 10 people.
There are 4 bathrooms, one of which is en suite. The bathroom overlooking the garden has a window; the others have exhaust fans. One of the double bedrooms has a tall window with an electric-operated window.
