Cozy Apartment with Swimming Pool Near the Sea


ELEA is located at Makris Tichos, one of the most beautiful areas of Chania, only 4km far from the city centre. The visitors will surely be impressed by the tasty decoration, the feeling of homely care and exterior environment which is immersed to the Cretan landscape. The charming swimming pool offers moments of relaxation and calmness under the sun, while the guests can enjoy peaceful shady spots in the big garden with local olive and banana trees. Moreover, the four most beautiful beaches of Chania are only 400m away and are easily accessible on foot.


The apartment (44 sq.m.) is a two-room apartment which was renovated in 2011. It has a modern well-equipped kitchen with lively colors and a sofa bed for one person. A corridor takes you to the bedroom and next to it there is a bathroom with shower cabin. In front of the apartment there is a balcony with view of the swimming pool and the bar-restaurant. Another balcony at the back with view of the olive and banana trees gives visitors the opportunity to relax and rest. One-bedroom apartments are located either on ground floor or first floor (First floor accessible by stairs).


In the area there are two big super-markets and several restaurants (300m). There is well-organized transportation to the town (every 10 minutes) and the bus stop is only 300m away.


We have created a peaceful place for relaxation and calmness and we are waiting for you. Its a home away from home!

Tolle Anlage mit Pool und einem etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Apartment

Die Anlage war wunderschön dekoriert und mit dem Pool bei heißen Temperaturen super zu nutzen. Weniger gefiel uns die Unterkunft, die schon deutlich abgewohnt und in die Jahre gekommen war. Der Boden wurde nur gefegt und ließ daher an Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig, was mit einem krabbelnden Baby gar nicht geht. Wir mussten erstmal selber den Putzeimer in die Hand nehmen und wischen. Das Bett ist ausgelegen. In der Dusche war eine Halterung kaputt, die auf Reklamation aber getauscht wurde. Die Küche war nicht so gut ausgestattet, der Mülleimer sehr klein. Allgemein fehlte es uns an Gemütlichkeit, die leicht durch ein paar Kissen auf dem Sofa oder etwas Deko herzustellen wäre. Das Personal war stets freundlich und geschäftig. Dennoch würden wir hier nicht wieder her fahren, da uns der Zustand des Apartments nicht gefiel.

Schöne Anlage in perfekter Lage

Wir wohnten 11 Tage in der Unterkunft und hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt. Da wir im Oktober dort waren, war die Anlage nicht ausgebucht, deshalb war es sehr ruhig. Unser Apartment war sparsam, aber ausreichend ausgestattet. Obwohl das Wetter wechselhaft war, konnten wir den Pool einige Male benutzen. Die kleine Snackbar schließt um 19:00 Uhr, es ist also nicht laut nachts. Man läuft 5-15 Minuten zu 4 verschiedenen Stränden, die alle sehr schön sind. In 5 Minuten Laufnähe gibt es zwei Supermärkte, Bäckereien, Restaurants, Minigolf, etc. Die Unterkunft liegt am Ortsrand von Daratsos, ist somit ruhig, aber nicht weit weg von allem. Die Kommunikation mit George war einfach und er hat schnell geantwortet. Alle Mitarbeiter*innen waren sehr nett und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Am letzten Tag konnten wir auch unser Gepäck in der Unterkunft lassen, bevor wir (abends) zum Flughafen aufbrachen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wunderschöne Anlage inmitten von Olivenbäumen

Es war sehr schön bei george und seiner Familie,alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.wir würden jederzeit wieder gehen.das Meer gut erreichbar zu Fuß und gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.chania ist eine mega schöne Altstadt,die man mit dem Bus in ca 15 min erreicht.es gibt viele Ausflugsziele,traum Strände.alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub.liebe Grüße und danke für alles

Sehr schöne Anlage im Grünen

Die Apartmentanlage liegt inmitten von Olivenbäumen und Blumen. Die Wohnung war einfach, aber mit Allem ausgestattet und auch sauber. Schöne Strände und Restaurants sind in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen, das wunderschöne Städtchen Chania in etwa 30 min. Die Lage der Anlage bietet viele Möglichkeiten den Westen der Insel zu erkunden, allerdings ist dann ein Mietwagen nötig. Ein Lob gilt den Gastgebern, die immer sehr nett und stets hilfsbereit waren.

The apartment and the area around is nice and clean. There are a lot of trees in their beautiful garden. It just took 5-10 min to the nice beaches. Also supermarkets and restaurants are very close. The owners are friendly and helpful, if you have questions or need to organize a taxi and so on. Das Apartment war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten alles was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigten. Auch die Anlage (Pool und Garten) war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wie auf den Bildern. Eine Wiese und viele Bäume und Pflanzen. Die Strände sind innerhalb 5-10 min. erreichbar. Ebenso auch Supermärkte und Tavernen. Insgesamt ist die Gegend gepflegt und sicher. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich. Besonders unsere Gastgeber sind mehr als hilfsbereit. Wenn man Fragen hat bzgl der Umgebung, Empfehlungen was Touren angeht oder wenn man ein Taxi benötigt etc. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Marcus und Stefanie

Cet établissement est agréable, calme, bien fleuri, situé dans un quartier où tout peut se faire à pied (courses, plages, restaurants) et restant proche de La Canée. Great location and pool but the shower was TERRIBLE

We loved the location, the apartment and the pool. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in helping us locate things and get our laundry done. However, our shower didn't drain at all and no one in our family wanted to use it because there were gross floaty things in there that weren't from us. We notified the owner and the maintenance person but it still wasn't fixed during our 5 night stay. That put a damper on our stay as the reason we needed the apartment was to have the bathroom and shower, otherwise we would have stayed with family while in Chania. There was no real apology or compensation of any kind offered, which was a disappointment.

First i have to say the owners and everyone who works there , really are very welcoming and friendly ; You can see and taste that everything they do is made with love , from decoration of the bar area to the delicious food they serve ...The Pool is especially great for families with younger Kids cause it's surrounded by a fence of glass ...I think it would look way nicer without but , safety first.. In general there are a lot of families ...we enjoyed the quiet times in the afternoon 😂 The Appartements were simple but clean and fitted with all the Basic stuff you need ( excluded enough binbags and toilettepaper) There was enough space and we enjoyed the quiet balcony on the back side. In the corridor there could be hooks for bags etc. and an extra mirror , the sun beds on the pool that are unstable could be replaced ... The Location of Elea is great as you Can reach everything you need in a few Minutes All in all we enjoyed our stay

Un cadre plein de charme

Pour nous, c'était le cadre idéal, au mois de mai, pour des vacances reposantes. Le confort d'un appartement de plein pieds avec une très belle piscine, oliviers et palmiers à deux pas de la mer et du très beau port de Chania. Toller Urlaub in sehr freundlicher Anlage!

Unser Aufenthalt war Super! die Wohnung ist ordentlich und sauber, dazu gab es einen Super Service! Die Wohnung liegt in einer kleinen Anlage, sehr ruhig und ca. 7-10 Minuten vom Meer entfernt, die Bucht ist ruhig und toll, ideal zum baden und sonnen. Der Pool direkt vor der Tür läd zum planschen ein und wenn man keine Lust zum kochen hat gibt's hier leckeres Frühstück und Snacks! die Besitzer sind Super freundlich und hilfsbereit, sehr zum empfehlen, gerne wieder :-)

Nice apartments at low cost

The apartments were nice but they need a bit maintenance. The A/C was dripping, the trees near the walking path should be trimmed and light bulb should be replaced. The owners are very nice and helpful and the price was low.

Nette familiäre Ankage in ruhiger Lage. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind groß genug und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Der Strand und 2 große Supermärkte sowie mehre Restaurants sind in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub
