This place is fabulous. Walking distance to South Kensington Station - 5 minutes. The place is clean, modern and a spacious living area. Mike is a great host. I would stay here again.
It was not clean, mail from a tenant was left in several drawers, light bulbs burned out and the shower was NON FUNCTIONAL. I couldn’t have my family join as I did not know it the shower would get fixed so I moved out. Now they will not refund my money!!!! PS the entry way is filthy and the elevator is not working

The apartment was professionally cleaned on the day of your arrival, and when you raised concerns we immediately offered to return and carry out any additional cleaning you requested.
You also reported an issue with the shower, which we treated as urgent. A contractor attended and the shower head and controls were replaced the same day, after which the shower was confirmed as operational.
Regarding the building, the communal areas and lift are managed by the building’s management company. However, we have no record of the lift being out of service during your stay.
We acted promptly throughout and did everything possible to resolve your concerns, which is why neither we nor the platform considered any form of refund to be appropriate.
Great location - great South Kensington neighborhood. Its a high end neighborhood that is not touristy. Still close to everything. The unit is on a corner on the second flow, so it can get noisy if you don't like the sounds of the city

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The location is excellent, and the water pressure is very good, but that does not compensate for the overall condition. I can only echo the previous guest’s remarks. Sadly, the listing is misleading, and the narrative shifted quickly from “in an affluent neighborhood” to “budget option” (per their own message once issues were raised). The flat has issues beyond normal wear and tear: peeling paint, visible water damage, broken furniture, unkempt grout, and dirty windows. The “deep clean” clearly fell short (hairs in the tub and sink). The flat is in need of proper upkeep, not surface cleaning. The refrigerator has a faulty, extremely noisy fan and is set so cold it freezes contents, costing us food and medication. Insulation is poor, with street noise coming straight into the flat.VRBO was not helpful, stating that because the host routed the booking through a third party, they had no control over payment. Since I followed their process, this reflects poorly on both host and platform.
The place was clean, spacious and even available earlier than anticipated. A 10 minute straight walk to the underground made it easy to get around the city. I felt like there was always ambulances driving by but maybe that’s a London thing because it was almost like sleeping in NYC. Luckily there was a standing fan in every room to drown out the noise but also help out with the “no central a/c” thing. The water pressure in the shower was amazing, but it gets incredibly hot really with just a small twist of the knob so beware. They had power strips in every room and converters under the sink. Wifi worked the entire stay. Multiple clean towels were provided. Checkin was super easy and there was clear communication before during and even after. A quick 15 minute walk gets you to a lively area of town including The Ivy which was so good. I would definitely stay here again.
This place was truly awful. The management company said that it was “budget” accommodation (which is not noted on the ad) and I think that is an overstatement to its quality. The place was poorly/not maintained and had clearly not had a general deep clean. And also not cleaned adequately between guest stays. Taking into account that this is an old building in London, and certain older buildings can show age, the state was still very bad. The walls were quite dirty, with brown spluge on the bathroom wall. Greasy handprints on the wardrobe. The bathroom floor is not shown in the photos is because it is brown and corroded. A paper towel had been used to plug a draft from the window. The couch had dirt/stains on it, and the chairs shown in the kitchen bar were not stable. The elevator/lift was broken- the management company sent a note the day before to say that -though by the looks of the tape on the elevator it had been out of order for quite a while. There was a dirty mattress leaning on the wall outside of the door. Note the management company offered to send the cleaners back but we would have expected the flat to have been clean in the first place and we didn’t want to deal with taking the time to be there for the cleaning and I didn’t want to ruin our vacation further. When I went to empty the washroom trash can and a used condom from a former guest was stuck to the trash can lid and fell onto my hand. Truly awful!
This was an amazing stay in a safe and lively neighborhood with all the amenities you could ask for. You felt like you were close in the heart of London yet without the chaos of crowds and tourists because of the neighborhood feel. At the end we regretted not spending enough time exploring the streets all around this apartment! We have a family of 5 so having the 3 private bedrooms was key to a restful vacation. The kitchen was also huge with an awesome counter space in case you ate in and cooked - but there were so many restaurant / pub options within a 5-10 min walk we never did! The other awesome thing was how close the tube was! South Kensington was a 7ish minute walk away and an easy station to get in and out of. There were other stations 10-15 min away as well so lots of options. One day we wandered down a beautiful street behind the apartment and it led us straight to Harrod’s (13 min away!) and the walk there took us through beautifully appointed homes and cool side streets. The home had a crisp clean feel to it to match the cleanlinessT the fans placed around gave us a totally fine experience even though we were there when it was quite hot. It was convenient to have it on the 2nd floor with the option of a short walk up or a lift / elevator. We also enjoyed having grocery stores very close by! Overall it was a really perfect place for our very active family!
