Front garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please Note: Sorry, no children.. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, ideal for couples or single travellers to base themselves on exploring all the Lake District National Park has to offer. Originally part of Greystoke Castle Estate and situated on an ex-farm, Pippa’s Cottage has been converted, whilst retaining many beautiful and original features. Pippa’s Cottage nestles in amongst a series of old farm buildings in 1.5 acres of grounds which the owner’s free-range chickens love to wander. The view from your private garden is straight across to Blencathra and Great and Little Mell Fells. There are delightful local village walks, and cyclists will enjoy winding through the attractive villages and wildflower-laden country lanes.
Ullswater, known as the most romantic lake, and the Keswick area with its spectacular high fells, are both within an easy 20-minute drive. This location is ideal for both outdoor enthusiasts and for those wishing to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful setting. The local village has a fantastic country pub dating from the 17th century and a local village store and boasts the magnificent Greystone Castle, the ancestral home of Tarzan which is now open to the public. In summer there is also a heated outdoor swimming pool with a café located within the village.
