Moffat - cosy 2-bedroom cottage 5 minute's walk from the bustling town centre

Clarefoot Cottage is a self-contained 2-bedroom self-catering annex to the main house - Clarefoot Residence. The property was built in 1875 and provides stunning views of the Moffat Hills.

The cottage has parking for 1-2 cars and its own Wi-Fi. Dog owners have access to an enclosed and secure dog run at the side of the property. Please note there is a charge of £10 per dog.

Ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, including a microwave, hob/oven, fridge freezer, washing machine and a Nespresso coffee machine, diner/lounge with Smart TV.

The first floor has the toilet, bath with shower over and a large bedroom with a king size bed, blackout curtains, hairdryer all linens and towels provided.

Second floor again a large room with twin bed, blackout curtains, hairdryer all linens and towels provided.

Nestling in the heart of Southern Scotland, Moffat is a conservation town midway between Carlisle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Only 21 miles from Dumfries, Moffat is a vibrant, bustling town offering the warmest of Scottish welcomes. Lying less than a mile from the A74(M), it’s the ideal place to stop and, once visited, will surely be your favourite place to visit again and become the perfect hub for a stay in Dumfries & Galloway and the Scottish Borders – a beautiful and unspoiled part of Scotland.

Moffat is an attractive town, with a rich heritage and history and a thriving cultural, creative, and musical scene. While you’re here, you’ll probably want to explore the fascinating story of our town. We’ve got Scotland’s first modern wood fired distillery producing whisky, gin and fruit whisky liqueurs, cafes, pubs, restaurants, art galleries, shops galore and a theatre.

Moffat hosts numerous fun events throughout the year and is famous for the Grey Mares Tail the 5th highest waterfall in the UK. A farmers market held the 2nd Sunday of each month. Moffat was named Europe’s first Dark Sky town making it a great place to stay and stargaze.
