About this property

Off Grid Cabin near Bryce Canyon

You'll love staying here because of the spectacular 360˚ views on a private 15-acre property. You'll have the entire cabin and canyon to yourself, explore our ATV/walking trails, rock hunters will love the abundance of agate rocks around the property. Conveniently and easily accessible right off of Hwy 89. Our place is good for couples, friends, solo adventurers, and families. (Note: no A/C and no pets allowed.)

Our property is OFF-GRID, that means it is not connected to the electrical grid. Power comes from a top of the line energy efficient Honda generator and a 500 gallon propane tank. Need Wi-Fi? We don't provided internet access however the 4G signal is extremely good because there's a cell tower in direct line of sight to our cabin.

Our place has an open floor plan, great for cooking and hanging out in the living room with friends and family. Bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the house providing privacy for multiple couples and families. No neighbors, no noise, just have fun and enjoy the peaceful outdoors and wildlife.

There are a couple miles of ATV/walking trails located on the property directly accessed from the backyard. Note these trails are not accessible other than through this property, there is no pass through traffic. Bring your own ATV and drive around on the property trails (we DO NOT provide).

Into fishing? Bring your own fishing poles and walk to a secret tunnel that goes under Hwy 89 and go trout fishing in the Sevier river. Or, about 7 miles South of our place you can connect to the old Hwy 89 road which will take you to several fishing spots along the Sevier river. Make sure you get a fishing license.

Hatch (4 miles South) and Panguitch (7 miles North) are the closet towns. Both offer great places to eat and some unique shopping stores. Some of our favorite places to eat in Panguitch are: C-Stop Pizza, Cowboys Smokehouse, and Kenny Ray's. Note many local businesses are closed on Sundays and many restaurants close before 8pm. Major retail stores like Walmart are located in Cedar City about 1 hour away.

Cleaning Service Living Wage: We pay our cleaners fairly. A living wage is the minimum income necessary for someone to meet their basic needs. We recognize our cleaners provide essential support and provide excellent and dependable hospitality to guests. When cleaners are paid a living wage, they’re better able to: support themselves and their family, perform consistent high-quality work, and take time off to care for themselves or a family member.

Great location, loved being off grid
Spent a few nights here during the girls trip for visit Bryce Canyon. Was a little worried about how cold it might get at night if we turned off the generator, but that was not an issue at all. The house held the heat very well. We spent so much time hiking, that we didn't really have much down time to explore the property, but it was so nice to not have any one around us. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place
The property was quiet except for the occasional road noise from Route 89. The heat wasn't working at the time but was not a problem for us. The house stayed comfortable. The oven wasn't working either but also wasn't an issue as we usually used the grill outside and the stove top. The kitchen was well appointed, with everything we needed to cook with. The king size bed was comfortable. The gas fridge kept everything cold. We did not realize that we would have to be refilling the generator, but it ran like a champ! We were there for four nights. Overall, the location was The shining star of this rental! Proximity to Bryce and Red Canyons was super convenient!

Enjoyed the location and the cabin.
The oven and the dishwasher didn't work. It didn't matter that the dishwasher didn't work but disappointed the oven didn't. We tried to find out the checkout procedure but couldn't get in contact with anyone.

Beautiful getaway
We loved staying “off the grid”, having candlelight dinners or barbecue at the fire pit, watching the flycatchers feeding their nestlings and enjoying the beautiful landscape hiking in the canyons - a wonderful place.

Why they chose this property

We bought this 15 acre property located in Rock Canyon near Bryce Canyon as a second home because we love this area. This place is surrounded by some of the most amazing national parks in the world.

What makes this property unique

Getting around is fast via Hwy 89 heading either North towards Bryce or South towards Zion. You can also find a variety places to eat in the towns of Hatch, Panguitch, and Bryce. The cabin site is located on 15 acres and is surrounded by BLM lands so it is very private and secluded yet you have instant access to Highway 89. Panoramic views from inside Rock Canyon.
