About this property
Martin & Richard's House in London Fields
Situated on a charming street right in the heart of Hackney and London Fields, our two bed house is surrounded by the hustle and bustle of local delis, cafes and restaurants. We bought the place a few years ago and totally renovated it into the home it is today. We're a stone's throw from London Fields park, where you can enjoy the heated outdoor pool. On the other side of the park, you'll find Broadway Market beyond that, Shoreditch is within walking distance (30 mins walking from the house).
The space
On the top floor of our home, you’ll find the spacious master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. We designed the bathroom to be extra luxurious – it comes equipped with underfloor heating, a heated towel rail and soft mood lighting. In the bedroom, the king-sized bed features a premium foam mattress, plump goose-down pillows and a down duvet, fitted with crisp white cotton sheets from The White Company. While this is our home (so there will be clothes in the wardrobe) there will be a chest of drawers available and clothes rail with plenty of hangers for your use.
Downstairs on the first floor is the living room and second double bedroom. While it’s a little smaller than the master upstairs, it feels extra cosy thanks to the deep green colour on the walls. The double bed also has a premium memory-foam mattress and goose-down duvet. There’s a small writing desk and a clothes rail too. To reach the bathroom, you will need to go down a further few steps from the bedroom. The bathroom has a rainfall shower in its large bathtub.
In the living room, the sofa and armchairs have been carefully chosen to be comfortable as well as stylish. It gets beautiful late-morning sunshine and is a lovely space to work from during the day. In the evening, it’s the ideal spot to retreat to after dinner with a glass of wine or snuggle up in front of the large TV. The TV has a Chromecast as well as an HDMI cable so it is easy to connect to. Plus, the wifi is super fast (500mbps).
The kitchen and garden are found on the ground floor, down a few steps from the entrance. This part of the house is a brand new extension with underfloor heating, extra high ceilings and huge windows that let in lots of natural light. When designing our kitchen, we wanted to create the perfect entertaining space so that you can enjoy a glass of wine with friends while cooking. As this is our home, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up a storm. The hob is a high quality induction hob and there’s also a large dishwasher, microwave and large fridge/freezer. In the summer you can slide open the large glass doors to the garden to create a much larger indoor/outdoor space - a treat for those sunny London days!
We live above a beautiful deli/cafe and you may occasionally hear some noise from downstairs. Rest assured that your nights will be peaceful, as the cafe closes at 8pm on weeknights and 10pm on weekends and Fridays.
