I rented this property for a one month stay in the UK for work. It was ideal for that, and then my wife decided to come with me for a holiday... so it was even better. It is ideal for a long stay for a single person on business in the UK or for a couple. There's a lot to like about this well-presented, intelligently furnished apartment, with well-equipped kitchen (cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine) and good-sized bathroom. My only complaints are that it is up two flights of steep and narrow stairs, which should probably be flagged up for those with mobility issues, and that it is very noisy, including at night. That said, I chose it for its central location and proximity to the station (I was travelling to Oxford and/or London most days, and also had to go to Birmingham) and so should not have expected anything else, Wife liked it because it was close to the shops, and we both liked the fact that it was close to the river, making for lovely evening walks. However, if noise is a issue, be warned. The one star for communication is not down to the host, but to VRBO, who were utterly useless. Once we were able to make contact outside of VRBO Sharon was very helpful. In summary, this is an excellent home from home for a longer stay. The price for what is offered is extremely reasonable, and should I be returning to the UK for an extended stay I would hope to stay in Reading and in this very apartment.

Why they chose this property

I grew up in Reading and all of my family are still there. I moved to the coast about 10 years ago but still love to come back to the vibrant town, and connections are excellent for London and further afield.
