North Shore Ocean View Cottage

This recently built comfortable cottage is located on the north shore of the island of Maui, tucked away in the quiet countryside of Haiku but relatively close to major attractions! Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a rich tropical setting with spectacular ocean views!


The Space

The house offers panoramic views of the mountains and the ocean with warm and breezy weather. The house living space is 1000 square feet with an additional 400 square feet of deck and a double carport. The house is great for couples, solo travelers, and families with kids. Lush foliage is abundant, with banana, citrus, and avocado trees planted throughout the yard. The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation in a quiet, private, and peaceful tropical setting.

Guest Access

The house has a variety of features to ensure you have a wonderful stay on Maui. The large outdoor patio has teak wood furniture and a gas barbecue, perfect for enjoying dinner while watching the sunset. We offer a modern fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, cookware, dishes, and utensils. The home includes high-speed wireless internet, two smart TVs, an Apple TV media streamer, a stereo system, and a laundry area with a washer and dryer. The master bedroom includes a king bed, a large closet, and a master bathroom with a double walk-in shower and a private outdoor shower. There is also a separate tv viewing area with a sofa and a second guest bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Interaction with Guests

We are usually very responsive to messages, available to answer questions, and perform needed maintenance. We are also happy to provide you unique recommendations of activities to do and things to see while you are on Maui.

Other Things to Note

The cottage is located on a 2.9 acre property, which includes a house where the hosts live. One dog, a friendly miniature labradoodle, lives inside the hosts' home and will not be at the cottage. Kids are welcome as long as they are supervised by adults, since there is a steep gulch on the edge of the property.

The Neighborhood

The house is in a small and quiet neighborhood in the countryside, which allows you to be away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, but also still relatively close to major attractions. This allows you to have a unique and fun visit not comparable to a hotel, and lets you experience living the Hawaiian lifestyle.

Brigette and Dave are excellent hosts with a beautifully designed nature escape. We received warm, welcome messages before arriving, providing confidence in the check-in process and a warm Aloha for our first visit to the island. We enjoyed both their restaurant recommendations and well-appointed, spacious kitchen. Location was easily accessible and accommodating, even after other roads flooded.

Second stay at this lovely property. Clean, mostly quiet (some loud guests checked in to a property next door and were pretty loud-NOT our hosts fault!). Gorgeous views! What a beautiful property in a fantastic location between Pai'a and start of Road to Hana. This house has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay, from filtered water, upgraded bath products, washer/dryer with clothing racks, extended lanai overlooking peaceful grounds and ocean, make-up mirror, laundry baskets, multiple tvs, plentiful ice and cooler to borrow, and more. Hosts are super friendly and responsive and live next door. The master shower was AMAZING! The house stays relatively cool at night with fans and windows open, but does get hot in the afternoons, so not having air conditioning was the only downside. Highly recommend Flatbread Company, Baked on Maui, and Pai'a Fish Market for meals as well as Jaws for quick lite breakfast (amazing avocado toast). We enjoyed our stay!

A fabulous rental home! The views from the home are incredible and the hosts are attentive and kind. The interior space was spotlessly clean and quite comfortable for my husband and I. We enjoyed a nice long stay and were definitely sad to leave. Will come back for certain!

Beautiful Cottage with Ocean View

Brigitte and Dave had the place ready for us when we arrived and it had everything we needed for our stay and then some. We appreciated the local coffee, fruit and other snacks that were left out for us as welcome gifts. Our two young daughters had a great time playing in the yard while we readied each day for our adventures to Haleakala and the Hana Highway, which this location is perfect as a base station for both destinations. Dave stopped by and gave us some tips for our Hana Highway adventure. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
