The Greenway connecting Belmez with Peñarroya Pueblonuevo is a great attraction for hiking or exploring, whether on foot or by bike, featuring bird-watching lookouts and the Great Bustard Interpretation Centre in La Granjuela.

The Alto Guadiato Valley boasts an immense wealth of heritage, ranging from prehistoric sites such as dolmens and cave paintings to medieval fortresses like Belmez Castle, religious heritage, including medieval chapels such as Nuestra Señora del Castillo and Nuestra Señora de Gracia, all the way to the Fuente Obejuna Mansion.
