The apartment is renovated from an old attic located in an art nouveau building. The owners have transformed it into an elegant attic equipped with all comforts. The décor is characterized by the right balance between modern and old that makes it friendly and allows you to enjoy a pleasant stay for all your needs.
The apartment overlooks the famous medieval walls that enclose the old city, within walking distance and easy reach on foot or by bicycle.
It consists of two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room with adjoining kitchen and a loft with a sofa bed.
It also comes with free wifi internet access, satellite TV, DVD and air conditioning.
The kitchen is fully equipped and linen service is included.
From the apartment you can reach the city centre in just five minutes walk.
It is walking distance from the railway and bus station (200 m).
The apartment is easily reachable from the motorway and has a public car park nearby with charging station for electric cars (distance 100 m 8€ 24 hours). It is currently free until December 31st.
The owners are happy to welcome you with a bottle of wine from their own production and all the tourist information that will interest you.

Lucca is located in a strategic position to visit Tuscany, both by car and by public transport.

The most famous villas of Lucca can be reached easily by car and represent the pearl of our territory (Torrigiani villa, Villa Grabau, Villa Mansi ...).

At just twenty minutes away are the beaches of Verisilia. In addition to Viareggio, famous for its carnival, Forte dei Marmi is a Mecca for lovers of shopping and nightlife.

Those who prefer to relax and want to get away from the bustle of the city, Montecatini offers spas.

The art cities of Pisa (17km) and Florence (75 km) are a must for anyone staying in Tuscany.

A wonderful base to explore Tuscany from…

Renata and her family were wonderfully welcoming. They showed us the apartment and gave us guidance on places to eat, visit and how to get around Tuscany. They were warm and kind. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful and spacious apartment a short walk from the heart of stunning Lucca.

Casa Emma and our lovely hosts in Lucca provided us with quintessential Tuscan experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four very special days at Casa Emma- a beautifully appointed and extremely well maintained historic property directly adjacent to the old walled city of Lucca. Our kind hosts were warmly welcoming and extremely helpful without being in any way intrusive. They assisted us with suggestions for a lovely bike tour around the walked city, a glorious Puccini concert in the nearby Oratoria, a delicious locally sourced dinner at Buca di Sant'Antonio, and with arrangements for the most incredible cooking class with a marvelous local instructor, Silvia Guerrini. They ensured we had everything we needed for a truly memorable stay. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time in Lucca, and can't wait to return to Casa Emma!

Wonderful stay at Lucca!

It was our 5th stay in this beautiful apartment. The apartment is beautiful decorated and furnished. It is well equipped and very clean. You can reach the historic Lucca wall and the historic center in a short walk. The hosts are very gentle and helpful. We enjoyed our holidays very much. Thanks a lot again to Renata and family. We hope to come back soon.

Excellent base

Really spacious and well equipped apartment. There were only two of us but there was more than enough room for four. It was only a five minute walk to inside the city walls and having parking was great as we had driven from Umbria. Whilst staying at the apartment though, we didn't need to use the car at all which was wonderful after a lot of traveling. Renata and her son met us at the apartment and were so helpful. They also gave us lots of excellent advice and tips. Highly recommended.

Great Place, very nice host

Lucca is really a lovely city in the heart of Tuscany. The old town is beautyful, italian food might be the best in the world and the ice cream is outstanding. :-) But there is so much more to explore. And the wonderful apartement from Renata is the perfect spot to do that. It is located just outside the old town, so you just have to cross the street and go throgugh the big wall to reach the heart of Lucca. The apartement is beautifully furnished. All rooms have an aircondition which is really a must if you visit Italy in summer. Its clean and has everything you need. The bathrooms seem to be new and perfect. A real plus are the tips of the hosts. Its always great, if you know a local to find the right spots, restaurants and views. So we followed many of Renatas tips and that was a really good idea. We had the best ice cream, the best restaurants and great trips to different places in the Tuscany. So all in all: The apartement itself is great. It is located perfectly. Renata is super nice and her tips are great. If we come back to Lucca - for example the next Lucca Summer Festival - we will stay again here. I cannot imagine a better place. The apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful city of Lucca, it’s only a 5 minute walk to get into the city through the walls. The apartment is a lovely place to stay, really well equipped and has a lovely ambience. Lavinia met us on arrival, even at 11pm and was very helpful. I would not hesitated to stay here again or recommend it.

Diese Wohnung ist einfach fantastisch, angefangen vom sehr herzlichen und flexiblen Empfang mit bereitgestellten Keksen und kaltem Wasser, über die sehr saubere, gut aufgeteilte geschmackvolle Wohnung bus hin zur tollen Lage direkt an der Bushaltestelle der Überlandbusse sowie des Stadttores Santa Maria.Die Wohnung ist zudem mit wirklich allem ausgestattet, was man such nur eventuell brauchen könnte.Wir würden gerne wiederkommen!Grazie!

Absolutely Perfect

What a perfect apartment! We loved our home away from home while in Lucca. Renata was so helpful during check in (her husband even helped with our bags), giving us great recommendations and helping us book a table for dinner one night. The apartment is probably the best vacation rental we have stayed in. Super clean, well stocked and so stylishly decorated. Location was outstanding - close parking for the car and right across the street from the historic center. Would absolutely stay here again and can’t recommend it highly enough for others.

Our stay was very nice. The location was easy to find and close to so much. A small challenge was, the host needed to be there to give us the keys, not a code, so we had to arrange a specific check in time, it worked out ok. The apartment was on the top floor of the building so a number of flights of stairs to get there. Our host was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment and in Lucca. Would highly recommend.

Frühling in Lucca

Renata und ihr Mann sind großartige Gastgeber. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Führung durch die Wohnung und einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen. Die Beschreibung der Wohnung trifft zu 100% zu. Seife, Shampoo, Duschzeug, Kaffee, Gewürze, Spülmittel etc. sind vorhanden. Die Wohnung liegt super zentral, um Lucca und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Sowohl mit dem Auto, als auch mit dem Zug sind alle wichtigen Städte in der Umgebung gut zu erreichen. Zur Information und Orientierung gibt es eine liebevolle gestaltete Broschüre mit Tips zu Restaurants oder Ausflügen, Ärzten in der Umgebung etc.

Top Unterkunft in Lucca

Wir, zwei Paare, haben uns in Renatas Apartment sehr wohl gefühlt. Hervorzuheben sind hier die einwandfreie Sauberkeit, die Ausstattung der Wohnung, die Lage und das herzliche Willkommen der Gastgeberin. Renata hat uns mit Restaurant Tipps versorgt und uns verraten, wo man das beste Eis bekommt. Von der Wohnung aus, kann man den Bahnhof innerhalb 5 Gehminuten erreichen. Von dort aus fahren Züge nach Pisa, Florenz, Viareggio etc. Unkompliziert und kostengünstig. An der Wohnung selbst befindet sich kein Parkplatz, aber man kann zum Ausladen kurz vor dem Haus halten und dann das Auto auf den 100m entfernten Parkplatz stellen. Das Parken dort kostet 8€ am Tag. Bitte unbedingt darauf achten, nicht die Taste für die Anwohner zu drücken. Wir würden das Apartment jederzeit wieder buchen und können es ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen.

Amazing host!

Location perfect, just a quick stroll down from the train station, short walk into the walled city (across the street). Walk for groceries, dinner and sightseeing. Host and her family wonderful! (Special thank you to Valentina for helping our grown kids experience fun in Lucca!💕) There are a lot of stairs to get in. If you are unable to do that, this is not the location for you. But for everyone else, stay here!!! Probably favorite vrbo ever!! Thank you Renata!! Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!

Schön wars in Lucca

Wir haben eine tolle Zeit in Lucca verbracht und durften in dem schönen Apartment von Renata wohnen. Vom Check-In, über Renatas Erläuterungen und Empfehlungen zu Lucca, über die Ausstattung der Wohnung bis hin zum Check-Out war alles prima. Alle Räumen sind mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Vom Apartment sind es nur wenige Meter zu Fuß bis in das historische Stadtzentrum von Lucca. Das Auto parkt auf dem ca. 200m entfernten öffentlichen Parkplatz. Dort muss man für 8€ ein Tagesticket kaufen. Der Parkplatz bietet ausreichend Platz. Renata ist ein tolle Gastgeberin. Danke Renata für die schöne Zeit in Lucca.
