Private haven with spotless cabin, expansive grounds and huge lake, equipment for whatever activity one would want. All near Bar Harbor and Acadia National
The location is great, yards from the lake and a fire pit right in front. A very rustic atmosphere where one can chill out and decompress from every day life in a city. It's far enough off the beaten path to see a moose swimming( I did early one morning), but only 15 or so miles to town to get anything one might need.
Linda is very nice and thorough checking to ensure one knows everything that might be needed, it's well stocked.
A great place to saty.
If you want to get away and relax in peace and quiet this is a great place to go. Every morning while eating breakfast we saw wild turkeys. The view from the porch and front yard was amazing hiking on the property and entrance road was awesome The property was well stocked with supplies a nice grill with propane and enough kayaks and canoes for a large group. The host was very gracious and informative about everything that the property had to offer. There was a notebook in the house filled with brochures and maps of local hikes.
A quiet, secluded spot in the woods. Great place to unplug and get away from the world. The lake is peaceful, inviting, and virtually untouched - hardly any traffic at all. We spent days using the kayaks included by Linda! Plan ahead, as the final journey to the cabin does take a bit of time and you won't want to be running out to grab anything.
If you do want to travel to Acadia/Mount Desert Island, it's a little over an hour. We made two trips over there, and just planned everything to fill up the entire day out.
From start to finish. Linda is an amazing host. The property is just beautiful. If you are wanting to be in Maine then this is EXACTLY where you are looking to stay. Secluded oasis that's got the views you desire. Thank you Linda for making our stay so perfect.
This is a very nice cabin with more than you need to cook gourmet meals and also enjoy nature! Linda is an awesome host. The property was so clean for a cabin in the middle of the woods. Linda provides so much. There are plentiful spices, bowls, pots, baking pans, everything! We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor seating and nice fire pit. The enclosed porch is perfect if the weather is not cooperative. There are games galore to amuse everyone if you are cabinbound. The views of the lake are beautiful! There are kayaks, life vests, and a canoe for use. The night sky is like a planetarium! I highly recommend Linda’s wonderful place if you enjoy the outdoors! I hope so much to return next year. Please note that is a ways away from everything, but that was perfect for us. We still went to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and to many places for lobster. Linda gives you the lowdown on where to get gas, shop and get the best hand cut steaks….
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was everything we'd hoped for and more. Great view and easy access to Graham Lake from the cabin. I went kayaking every morning and photographed many Bald Eages, Ospreys, Great Egrets, Wood Ducks, Mallards, Greater Yellowlegs, Least Sandpipers, Loons, and more. Lake water was way down this year but still very accessible.
The cabin was great. Linda keeps it clean and stocked well. We enjoyed having fires in the pit as we watched the colors of the sunset. Unfortunately the level of the lake was quite low and not dimmable from the property. Though we did enjoy utilizing the kayaks that were provided and the fishing was great! The only tough part was the drive down the logging road to the cabin.
Thank you Linda for sharing your wonderful cabin. It’s in a beautiful, secluded lakeside setting. The cabin is well maintained and very cozy with everything you need.
Linda is a great host who is very responsive and resourceful.
My family, including our golden doodle, enjoyed every minute. We would like to come back again in the near future.
Thanks Linda for the use of your wonderful cabin in the woods - my wife, I , and our old gal lab truly enjoyed the peaceful setting without the heavy industrial noises of everyday life
Beautiful!!! Linda is very nice. Someone had a negative review because she visited, city people. Everyone we met in Maine was similar, friendly! Property was well maintained, clean, and cozy. Thanks Linda!
Although the road to the cabin is long, it is worth the drive. The cabin is well maintained and comfortable. The setting is fantastic!! The cabin is surrounded by a large grass yard that is broken up by mature trees. There are so many places to sit and relax, to take in the beauty of this place set on the edge of a large lake. It was so peaceful during our stay. Our visit was timed to enjoy the peak of autumn colors and we were not disappointed! The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and an abundance of books, games, puzzles, and movies. Bring your family or come as a couple seeking solitude.
Linda is an exceptional hostess. Her directions and instructions were very useful.
Wow, Linda, what a wonderful property. Thank you so much for s haring your special place and especially allowing our pup. We enjoyed ourselves so much, your home is comfortable and has everything (and more) than we needed.
We hope to come again.

Our vacation started when we saw a moose on the long dirt road to the cabin. We knew then it was going to be a special week.
Linda met us when we arrived and showed us how everything works, made sure we had everything we needed and she was on her way.
First: the outside. The property is beautiful and the quietest place I’ve ever been. It’s 3 miles down a dirt road through the woods, so there’s no cars, no people, no noise.
There’s a hammock, some lounge chairs and plenty of chairs around the fire pit on the expansive lawn. I loved just sitting out there watching the birds during the day and the stars at night. We saw an eagle, an owl, and a road runner! We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing in the canoe. We only saw 2 boats the entire week. It felt like we had the river to ourselves.
Inside: The cabin is very warm, inviting and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with every tool you can imagine. The living room has tons of books and games for adults and kids, and even toys for the dog!
My husband and teen son loved it so much they’re already asking when we can go back.
Remote but well-equipped cabin in a beautiful lakefront location
We stayed at the cabin for a week in August 2021. The photos do not do the place justice; the cabin is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The lawn and lakefront are beautiful and we spent a lot of time relaxing at the fire pit. We also used the kayaks and canoes to explore the lake. The lake is very quiet with very little boat traffic. Our kids enjoyed playing on the beach, swimming and fishing. The lake itself is quite murky with pondweed and a squishy, clay bottom which can be a little unpleasant underfoot but we were still able to enjoy it. Location is very quiet and down a long unpaved road. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and sense of isolation as well as stargazing at night. The host Linda was very welcoming and informative without being intrusive. Cabin is highly recommended for a quiet, comfortable, off the beaten track vacation.
The description and the photos were very misleading.
We had just drove 7 hours and wanted to walk our dogs so that they could go potty and we wanted to unload our truck and relax but the owner was there ( in the 15 years that we've been staying in ME that has never happened before, all owners have just left us directions to the TV etc) I found it unnecessary, intrusive and inappropriate! Our poor dogs had to stay in the truck for 35 minutes while she showed us around and telling us the dog's and don't's. I found her snarky and insulted our intelligence ( for example by asking us if we knew how to use a gas stove!) Before she left she said that she would be back during the week to do some gardening ( there were no gardens to tend to) Again that was very intrusive and an invasion of our privacy when we want to relax on our vacation ( again in 15 years never had this experience!) I mentioned the situation to my dad who owns 2 properties in NJ and he said that her behavior was intrusive, inappropriate and that she was being nosy! The running joke was did she show up today? Thankfully she did not show up HOWEVER on our 2nd day she called at 9 am and told us ( not asked) that a neighbor would be over to borrow a Lobster pot ( now if you know anything about ME everyone whether you live there or own a rental property all own a Lobster pot!) So that was very strange and again intrusive. On the 3rd day I was waiting outside for my husband ( we were going to town) and the neighbor came down the road on a tractor took one look at me and then turned around!! Again intrusive and very very creepy! It was unsettling! Now about the cabin, the ceiling was not finished and the floor was plywood painted an ugly green. The owner owns 340 acres and has more than one property I believe that she can afford to finish the ceiling and put a proper floor in. My parents would never have renters in an unfinished home, it's embarrassing! The hand soap in the kitchen was pure water ( again I think she can afford soap with all that she owns!) There were 3 table clothes on the table, the first 2 were fine ( one plastic and one cloth) but underneath the cloth was another cloth and it was really ripped so I'm not clear as to why it was there and it was unsightly! There was piles of junk in the yard ( I have pictures) there were old flip flops underneath the stairs leading into the cabin! There was a Pepsi can hanging from a tree. My husband said it could be a bird feeder ( I'm not sure but it was unsightly and I think she can afford
