This stunning, semi-detached country cottage, dating back to the 18th century, is perfect for couples, friends and family holidays. It has been completely renovated into a stunning holiday home, ticking all the right boxes. It offers contemporary, luxury accommodation which blends original features, enabling it to maintain its charm and character. The spaciousness offered means that you can choose to spend quality time with your loved ones or break away to enjoy your own pursuits in a separate area. Impeccable detail is on show throughout the home, which includes a sociable, open plan kitchen/dining room. The living room has a large comfy sofa and arm chairs, where you can enjoy quality time in good conversation or enjoy a film together. The feature wood burner is perfect to snuggle up in front of during the cooler evenings.

On the first floor are two good sized bedrooms, a kingsize and twin, both fitted with luxury cotton linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep. On the same floor is the wonderful Jack and Jill-style bathroom with a large walk-in shower and underfloor heating. Also a study with desk for working away, a chaise lounge for reading and children’s desk and toys. To the rear of the property is the wonderful, enclosed garden, great for having a glass of fizz al fresco or taking in the fresh country morning air with a coffee, whilst contemplating your next adventure. There is also an outdoor stove and barbecue which sits under the fairy-lit pergola, a perfect place to end your day.

Elm Cottage is set close to the local pubs, restaurants and shops, which are within easy reach of the property. You can explore the stunning North York Moors or Yorkshire Dales National Parks, which are full of bike trails and fantastic, scenic walks so make sure you pack your walking boots. Visit the very popular Rievaulx Abbey or nearby towns and cities, including the fabulous Helmsley, Thirsk and Richmond. A little further afield are York, Harrogate and Leeds, which can be accessed by the train station in Northallerton or around a one-hour drive. Alternatively, if you wanted to leave the car and have a day exploring there are plenty of picturesque walks right on Elm Cottages’ doorstep along with village pubs within walking distance offering a variety of local ales and good old pub grub.
