Known throughout the world as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice is one of Italy's most popular locations worldwide.
It is a real open-air museum, thanks to its historical and artistic heritage made of churches, palaces, and museums.
Strolling through Venice is like diving in the past: the so-called calli (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic home of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rio Alto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, waterbuses, and boats of all kinds.
The heart of the city is the enchanting St. Mark's Square, which houses the Basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.
The most famous local event is definitely the Carnival, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that enliven the streets every year.
Last but not least, the famous "Bàcaro Tour" is a must: a tour among taverns where to taste local wine along with cicheti, typical Venetian tasty bites.
The accommodation is 1,6 km from the Venice Santa Lucia train station.

The location of the room was wonderful, in a great area with an amazing dinner restaurant next door (reservations required). The room was large, though there were no amenities. They did give us towels and hand soap. No other amenities. The screens were torn and the room had no air so we were bitten by a ton of mosquitoes. The entry door to the building was very loud and was constantly being slammed open and shut. Registering was incredibly difficult as the page kept freezing and half of the instructions made no sense. This caused a lot of stress as they would not give us the entry code to access a key until this was done. Literally at the door step. Loved the location though
The AC does not work. It runs, but it does not cool the room at all. Nights are sweaty, and filled with mosquitoes. The window screens are both torn on each side of the screen, allowing the mosquitoes to come bite us. The toilet water shoots in between the lid and the rim spilling on the floor. The urine flush does not work, so it’s always full blast flush. Only two rolls of TP, which was used rather quickly mopping the bathroom floor. Sewer gases fill our room with terrible smells. The shower drains poorly. There are no drawers for clothing storage. The clothes rack has no hangars. There is zero staff at the actual property to resolve any issues. I would never stay here or recommend this place to anyone.
