About this property
Cysgod Y Felin - One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2
Set in the countryside of West Wales, this quirky dog-friendly couples'' cottage is perfect for unwinding in nature. Spend your time away exploring the nearby historical attractions and Cardigan Bay. In the evenings, relax in the airy open-plan living space with a wood burner or dine alfresco by the stream.
Enter the property to find a cosy yet spacious open-plan lounge/diner with boho-style decor, tones of blue throughout and wooden furnishings. A plush velvet sofa and three armchairs surround a wood burner and TV in the comfortable lounge area. Next to this is a laid-back dining space with a table. Continue into the cheerful yellow kitchen with a breakfast bar. Completing the interior is a shower room and a blue double bedroom with an armchair. Outside is a small patio area with garden furniture beside a stream.
During your stay on the outskirts of the village of Felindre, head into the centre (0.5 miles) to find a local pub, fish and chip shop plus a handful of small shops. Nearby is a restored historic mill containing the National Wool Museum (0.5 miles). Step back in time with a visit to the ruins of Newcastle Emlyn Castle (4 miles) or delve into the history of the Internal Fire Museum of Power (9.5 miles). Take a picnic to Cenarth Falls hiking area or the tumbling Ffynone Waterfall (both within 10.5 miles). Spend a day at the sandy Penbryn beach (12.5 miles) or hike along the cliff tops from Poppit Sands Beach (17.5 miles) in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. For a spot of shopping or a meal out, head to Cardigan (14 miles) or New Quay (17 miles).
