• Power Use: The home runs on a prepaid electricity meter. We’ll top it up before your arrival. To help manage usage, please switch off lights, ACs, fans, and appliances when not in use.

• Cleaning: A £50 cleaning fee is included in your booking total. This covers standard cleaning before check-in and after checkout.

• Deep Cleaning: In the event of excessive mess, damage, or rule violations (e.g. indoor smoking), a £200 deep cleaning fee may apply.

• Housekeeping: Light daily cleaning is available from our on-site housekeeper. You may also request additional cleaning services during your stay (extra charge applies).

• Pool Maintenance: The pool is professionally cleaned four times a week, usually in the morning, to ensure it’s in perfect condition.

• Laundry Access: Guests may request use of the washing machine, electric iron, and ironing board just inform the housekeeper.

• Rooftop Access: The rooftop terrace is available for your enjoyment. Events must be approved in advance and may incur an additional fee.

• Security: Your safety is a top priority, with 24/7 CCTV, electric fencing, and a dedicated on-site caretaker always present.

• Water Supply: The property is connected to a reliable source with backup storage to ensure uninterrupted water access.

Elegant, clean, and a special

In fact, I can't describe the house because it is so wonderful, elegant, clean, and a special, there was nothing missing from the house that was fully equipped, it was all new and very clean! The host was very responsive and welcoming. I would choose it again as a home and highly recommend it!

This was one of the worst VRBO rental experiences I've ever had, and I've used VRBO all over the world. The location was very bad with very rough dirt roads and a steep climb. The house design looks good, but the quality of the craftsmanship is very poor with dangerous electrical work. The air conditioners were leaking condensation on the floors.The worst part was that there were other people living in the house while we were there, which was not disclosed. The women with our group did not feel safe.I'm not the type to give bad reviews on a regular basis, as ai believe that there are sometimes uncontrollable circumstances that create negative experiences. However, in this case, this review is warranted, and I would have appreciated it if someone had warned us previously.On a side note, we had a great time in Accra, and we will be back. The best locations are within 10 - 20 minute drives from the airport.

Early Check-in and Support: We were happy to accommodate your early check-in request and assist with visa applications and you were engaged throughout your stay for which you confirmed you were happy and that everything was OK. Our goal is to ensure a smooth experience. Air-conditioning Issue: I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the faulty air-conditioning. Our engineers responded promptly, and the issue was resolved as quickly as possible. Actually arrival earlier than expected hence you may think they spent the night. Security Presence: We maintain a 24-hour security presence, and I'm surprised you had concerns about safety. Road Conditions: I understand the road to the property isn't ideal, but it's managed by the local authority. Ghana is a developing country, and we're doing our best to provide a comfortable stay. House Rules: I remind you that smoking is not allowed inside the rooms, and we had to address this during your stay. Check-out times are clearly stated, and we couldn't accommodate a late check-out due to the next booking. Airport Distance: The distance to the airport is indeed stated in our listing before your booking. We strive to provide a welcoming environment, and it's unfortunate you had a less-than-ideal experience. If you'd like to discuss further, please don't hesitate to reach out. Beautiful Home, But Uncomfortable Experience with the OwnerThe home itself is beautiful — spacious, stylish, and the pool was fun for everyone. Unfortunately, the experience with the owner and his brother made the stay uncomfortable and stressful.During our visit, the owner’s brother stayed at the property and would walk into the home unexpectedly, without notice, multiple times throughout our stay. He even entered while we were sleeping at 7 a.m. on our last day with several other people to start cleaning, even though we had already told him we’d be checking out at 10 a.m. This made us feel rushed and invaded our privacy.On the first day, the kitchen faucet came apart when we touched it. The next thing we knew, the entire sink had been replaced and we were billed for it — even though it was clearly a pre-existing issue. Later, a similar problem happened with the shower faucet, but this time we took photos showing it had been glued together before we arrived.There were also cameras placed all over inside the home, which made us feel uncomfortable. The internet didn’t work for most of the stay, and we had to pay extra just to get a connection. The power also kept going out, and we were told that we couldn’t use the air conditioner. Overall, the home itself was lovely, but the management and constant intrusions made the experience far less enjoyable than it should have been.

Dear valued Guest, I'm sorry to hear about your mixed experience with Sugarville. As our listing states, a caretaker is available 24/7 for your needs while living on the property and also serves as security. He lives in a separate dwelling behind the main house and has no access to the main house unless invited in. We are quite surprised you didn't mention his services, which made a stay more comfortable, such as arranging transport and running errands. The living room cameras are inactive or disconnected; they are only in use when the property is empty for security purposes. We believe this was briefed to you on your arrival. Regarding the power and internet issues: Unfortunately, as explained to you, your level of power and internet consumption was extraordinary. Leaving the entire house air conditioning on 24/7, even while sleeping at night, wasn't considerate. The consumption was basically 300 GHC, equivalent to about $32 a day, which was unrealistic. We kindly requested that you be more considerate with power consumption. Likewise, internet consumption of $40 within your first week was beyond our capability to cover. We are glad to inform you that a Starlink system is now installed with unlimited internet. The faucet was in working order, as all facilities are inspected before new guests arrive. One of your colleagues wasn't sure how to use it, and they should have asked for assistance. Regards Sugarville
