Nestled at the foot of the mountain, in a lush forest, you'll enjoy a unique view of Mount Fitz Roy and the Poincenot Needle. This is undoubtedly a strategic spot to fully immerse yourself in nature. Don Salvador Refuge is a small, 17-square-meter cabin, completely self-sufficient and environmentally friendly. It features hot water, solar electricity, wood-burning heating, a refrigerator, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. Towels, sheets, maps, a book, and other amenities are provided. This sustainable Tiny House is located 12 km from El Chaltén on Provincial Route 23, the road to Lago del Desierto (Desert Lake). From there, you can begin your adventure along the various trails offered by the National Park, such as Laguna de los Tres (Lake of the Three), Piedras Blancas Glacier, Huemules Glacier, Piedra del Faile, Paso Marconi (Marconi Pass), Marconi Glacier, and Laguna Capri (Capri Lake).

Cozy, comfy, well equipped, easy to find, super sweet and useful hosts. I’d stay there again. Only tip: bring slippers or extra warm socks as the floor of the cabin gets really cold. Spent three nights there and had a lovely time.
