Nestled on the edge of Haltwhistle, Northumberland, this lovely wooden lodge offers the perfect escape to the beautiful countryside of Haltwhistle, Northumberland, known as the centre of Britain. The lodge is situated next to the owners’ home and is excellently placed to enjoy all the stunning sights and attractions that the region has to offer. As you step inside, you are greeted with a warm and inviting open-plan living room, complete with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The cabin’s interior is decorated with cosy accents, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. At the rear of the lodge, you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a TV, providing a comfortable and peaceful retreat after a long day exploring the area, there is a separate modern shower room. The front of the lodge features a lovely veranda with seating, where you can sit back and relax with a drink while taking in the peace and quiet, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of activities.
The town of Haltwhistle itself is just a short walk away and boasts a range of attractions for visitors to enjoy. There are several traditional pubs, a great cocktail bar and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine, as well as a range of shops and amenities. There is an excellent leisure centre with heated open air swimming pool and cycle hire in the town, with pony trekking nearby. There is a regular train and bus service from the town to Newcastle, The Metro Centre and Carlisle, means that you can leave the car behind. Hadrian’s Wall is a must-see attraction for visitors to the area, this ancient Roman wall is over 70 miles long and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore the many forts and archaeological sites along the wall, including Vindolanda, Housesteads, and Chesters. For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, the Northumberland National Park is just a short drive away with great walks, cycling routes and wildlife.
