Built in 1880 and refinished 137 years later for weekend retreats, this beautifully restored farmhouse offers a historic getaway in the heart of downtown Dahlonega. Whether you come to wed, wine, jam or dine, Tumlin House extends a warm nineteenth century welcome for your epic group or family getaway into the north Georgia mountains.

Unique to this property is that it sits alone among a full acre of land comprising an entire city block, with a large yard and a fruit bearing grove of trees, all within a solid stone's throw to the shops and restaurants of the downtown commercial business district. With private parking for several vehicles, the convenience and versatility of this property is simply unmatched.

Our family of 8 adults and 6 kids ages 10 yrs to 2 1/2 yrs were completely comfortable at Tumlin House. There was plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside of the house. Great yard for kids to run around and play in! Hosts were friendly and easy to work with.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. Its location is excellent—within walking distance of downtown and very convenient for our road bike trip. We especially appreciated that it’s only about 3 miles from the Six Gap starting point, which made riding from the house very easy.The home itself, being a historic property, was well-suited for our group and worked great for accommodating a larger number of people.The only suggestion we would make is to improve the internet connection, as it was quite poor during our stay. Other than that, everything was excellent, and we would gladly stay again.

The Tumlin House exceeded every expectation we had as a place to house my daughter’s wedding party. Each of the 6 upstairs bedrooms had the feel of a bed and breakfast and the downstairs master bedroom with its uexpansive master bath was over the top, providing ample space for the girls to get ready.

A perfectly perfect home for our son's wedding weekend!

We are so grateful we had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful, historical home for our son's wedding weekend. We had ample space to welcome guests to stop by and the backyard was gorgeous and even offered enough lovely space to have our rehearsal for the big day. 80th Birthday Celebration

We could not have been more pleased with Tumlin House. We had 13 people total and not once did we feel cramped or crowded - the multiple living spaces were perfect. And the large table in the kitchen fit everyone for the catered birthday dinner. The home was functional as well as beautiful and we would definitely recommend, especially for large groups. Easy walking to the square. We had a fantastic time!
