About this property

Spacious Converted Granary Stradbroke

The property is accessed through the French doors into an airy kitchen and dining room. This flows into the lounge that consists of 3 sofas to relax in and watch television, sit chat, or access the patio and garden area.
There are two downstairs bedrooms that lead off the kitchen area. There is the Stag room that has a king sized bed and an en-suite shower room. The Bunny room is also downstairs next to the main bathroom which contains a bath and walk in shower. The bunny room has a super king sized bed that can be converted into two singles if requested.
The stairs to the Master bedroom are in the kitchen area. They lead to a landing area with a dressing table and then on into the master bedroom which has a king sized bed and an en-suite with a large bath.
The Granary is set in the Suffolk countryside, 4 miles from Stradbroke which has a shop, bakery, two pubs and a post office. The property has it's own courtyard to park in and a hedge enclosed rear garden. The property is set over two floors with two easy access downstairs bedrooms and a large master bedroom upstairs. The Stag Room has an en-suite walk-in shower and patio doors to the courtyard. The Bunny room has the main bathroom next to it with another walk-in shower, in addition to a large bath. The Master suite has a large bath to relax in with a shower attachment if needed. There is a kitchen diner and a comfortable lounge with wood burning stove to one end. Beyond the enclosed garden there is a large field that can be used to run around in, play games, fly a kit or watch the sky. In addition there is some outdoor play equipment and a tree swing for children to use. Children must not be left unattended. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer and an additional small fridge. There is a dishwasher, hob, built in oven and washing machine, (clothes horse for drying). Some coffee pods are provided for the Nespresso Vertuo, (bring your favourites if you prefer). Please note, there is a pond in the grounds of Red House Farm that is not fenced. Other things to note: Wheelchair Access is possible with access via a ramp to the French doors of the kitchen. However, please note the doorway between the kitchen and living room is 78cm and the door through to the bedrooms is 74cm wide. There is room to manoeuvre a regular wheelchair around the Stag bedroom. There is a lip of about 3.5cm to step over into the walk-in showers. There are various farm buildings used for our business which involves some wood sawing. Any noise is kept to a minimum and carried out when guests are out for the day. Please feel to get in contact for any specific requirements. There is plenty of room to park 3 cars in the enclosed courtyard gated area.

Perfect tranquil haven to escape to!

Beka was helpful, friendly and quick to respond to my requests prior to our stay and greeted us on arrival, explaining where everything was and if there was anything we needed which made us feel so welcome. Every room has been lovingly designed for guests to enjoy. Small details like the history of The Granary on coasters and photo books. Throws provided allowed us to enjoy the scenery longer. Crisp and clean cotton sheets on super-comfy beds.Plenty of glass and crockery. Thank you Beka x

I was left speechless, the hosts, the property, the area, the attention to details, the manual, the touches. I just cannot fault this stay ‘The Granary’ Stadbroke. I am going as far to say, this is one of the bestest places, I have stayed to date. There was not anything the hosts would not do to make things comfortable and agreeable to those staying. It is always the little things for me, the cleanliness, the linen, the products available to use, this was a family celebration weekend, and I hav

The setting is relaxed and quiet. The Granary vista is of the open countryside, where you can watch the sun rise or set in the big uninterrupted view of the sky. The property is painted in soft pastels giving a calm relaxing atmosphere. In the summer you can sit on the patio and hear the birdsong. The garden is visited by woodpeckers, blue-tits, hedgehogs & hares. Beyond the hedged private garden of the Granary are the grounds of Red House Farm that you can wander around or sit and have a picnic. The blossom in spring on the cherry trees is stunning as is the sunlight through the autumn leaves on the oak trees. There is farmland to the rear where fantastic sunsets can be viewed and the combine watched as it brings in the harvest. Small deer and muntjacs visit the grounds munching on the leaves of the trees or visiting the moat for a drink. Hares graze and woodpeckers both green and black spotted are regular visitors. The Granary is an ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of the coast that is great to visit in the day then come back to the quiet in the evening for a BBQ in summer or cosy up by the wood burner in winter.
